This document provides guidance on tasks for researching music videos within a chosen genre, including summarizing key characteristics of music videos, deconstructing four music videos within the genre using Goodwin's formula without deconstructing a video by the chosen artist, and using mixed media for two of the four deconstructions. The tasks must be completed individually by July 6th under the Research and Planning tab.

You now need to research music videos within your chosen genre.
1. In your own words, summarise Andrew Goodwin’s Key
Characteristics of a Music Video.
2. Using Goodwin’s formula, deconstruct four videos within your
chosen genre; use a mix of artists and eras.
3. DO NOT deconstruct a video by your chosen artist.
4. As this is Research and Planning, it has to be individual work.
5. Of the four, two must utilise mixed media (director’s
commentary style, mp3, slideshare et al.
