2. The roots of Planets can be traced back to the year 1951 with
the establishment of Mistery Abdul Gafoor Rahimbox
Company in Mumbai, India. After its success in India were the
escalating demand and long-term vision of modernization and
expansion being implemented by the ruler H.H. Sheikh Zayed
bin Sultan Al Nahyan that made UAE an attractive market.
In 1987, the Group set its foot in Sharjah under Planets Gypsum
& Decor Co. and never looked back. Continuing the streak of
forefather business the group is now lead by the third
generation with successful completion of projects in the U.A.E,
Iraq, Kabul, and Nigeria.

I’ve been in this industry for more than three decades and my
passion has not diminished one bit. Instead, it has been
increasing every day. More than 80% of our clients are either
returning clients or thru direct referrals. It speaks for the

been making and installing Glass Reinforced
Concrete (GRC) for over 20 years.
GRC presents architects and engineers with a
material from which the most ambitious designs can
be created. It can be moulded to form modern
futuristic designs or to replicate traditional historic
features. GRC can be manufactured coloured or
painted, pigment finish or simply left with a natural
white or grey smooth finish.
GRC is environmentally friendly. It offers several
advantages over cast concrete. It is lightweight,
easy to handle and fast to erect which reduce
loadings on buildings leading to significant savings
in superstructure & foundations.
