Traian Bujduveanu, a naturalized U.S. citizen and alleged owner of Orion Aviation Corp., was indicted along with others in 2008 for conspiring to export military aircraft parts to Iran without authorization between 2006-2008. He pled guilty in 2009 to violating export control laws and was sentenced to 35 months in prison. The parts exported included items for attack helicopters and fighter jets. Bujduveanu shipped parts through an air freight company in Dubai addressed to an Iranian national.
