Analysis of ppb_levels_of__nitrous_oxide_by_gas_chromatographyDr. Jack Driscoll
This study evaluated using a far UV absorbance detector coupled to a gas chromatograph to detect low parts per billion levels of nitrous oxide (N2O). The detector was able to detect N2O concentrations from 500 parts per billion to 250 parts per billion. A concentrator was also evaluated that improved the detection limit to 5 parts per billion by concentrating the sample. The far UV detector either with or without a concentrator provides a suitable range for monitoring N2O in workplace and ambient air applications.
