Secondary school students in Nalbari town, Assam, India were selected as the study group because secondary education is important for higher education. The secondary schools of Nalbari town were chosen as the study area because several long-established schools have historically played a key role in education, but parents now prefer enrolling children in newer private schools instead, so a comparison of facilities between the older and newer schools is needed.

The challenges of indigenous schools as perceived by school administrators
Abstract. This study discusses the challenges facing by Indigenous school administrators towards the schools and education of ‘Orang Asli’ (indigenous) students. This case study was carried out regarding to the problems related to the role played by school administrators that give implications for the quality of Orang Asli education. Two primary school administrators involved in the semi-structured interview to answer the focused questions on seven modified aspects of GPILSEO Model. The interview was audio-taped, transcribed and checked for content based on predetermined themes. The findings showed that school administrators have moderate targets in improving the achievements of Orang Asli students, encouraging fun method of teaching and learning, and stated the equipments needed by the school were sufficient but in a sorry state. The findings also showed they carried out assessments for teachers and students as scheduled and helped to distribute assistance from government in the forms of money and materials to the students. The final finding showed that the school administrators and their teacher were highly committed in managing the school of Orang Asli. This gives a major implication that the school administrators should play a role as an agent planning to increase the academic achievement of Orang Asli students in education.

Over the last two decades, the low fee private schools have witnessed an unprecedented growth in India. The mushrooming of low fee private schools have largely been attributed to factors such as aspirations of middle class parents for English as medium of instruction, better accessibility and quality, and teachers’ accountability etc. However these schools have also drawn a lot of criticism for their untrained teaching staff, faulty teaching methods and uninformed choice among parents. Against this backdrop, this paper explores different dimensions of parental choice for private school. While contesting the popular claims such as medium of instruction and better accessibility being the main determinants of parental choice for private schools, the paper argues that even after controlling for the above mentioned factors parents choose private over public schools. The field evidences suggest that parents’ choice is mainly determined by their lack of faith in government schools. Thus there is an urgent need to address this problem of lack of trust in government sector. The paper also challenges the issue of untrained teaching staff in private schools as field experiences indicates that now more and more private schools are hiring trained teachers.

Once the data is collected, then the data in the analysis to determine: (1) learning model of Islamic education in Special SDLB MaharaniGayam wells Paciran Lamongan, (2) the implementation of Islamic religious education in Special SDLB MaharaniGayam wells Paciran Lamongan, (3) factors inhibiting learning of Islamic religious education to build character learners in Special SDLB Maharani Well Gayam Paciran Lamongan. In this study conclude that the learning model of Islamic education to build character learners in Special SDLB Maharani Well Gayam Paciran Lamongan, are: use of individual learning model, and the model of classical learning. Further to the implementation of teaching Islamic education for children with special needs in Special SDLB Maharani Paciran, namely: there should be a class management, PAI learning materials, learning model, equipment and instructional media. This study uses a qualitative method with phenomenological type of research which is then analyzed using descriptive. The data collection was done through interviews, observation, and documentation. Once the data is collected, then the data in the analysis to determine: (1) learning model of Islamic education in Special SDLB MaharaniGayam wells Paciran Lamongan, (2) the implementation of Islamic religious education in Special SDLB MaharaniGayam wells Paciran Lamongan, (3) factors inhibiting learning of Islamic religious education to build character learners in Special SDLB Maharani Well Gayam Paciran Lamongan. In this study conclude that the learning model of Islamic education to build character learners in Special SDLB Maharani Well Gayam Paciran Lamongan, are: use of individual learning model, and the model of classical learning. Further to the implementation of teaching Islamic education for children with special needs in Special SDLB Maharani Paciran, namely: there should be a class management, PAI learning materials, learning model, equipment and instructional media. The Factor affecting learning are: lack of props, the need for therapy teacher, art teacher, student ability of different, and lack of support from parents (guardians) Rizqiyatus Shohibah, Biyanto and Biyanto 2020. In the modern society and the information era, information-based teaching ability is a must for primary school English teachers. Thanks to the wide use of information technology in schools, the education system has witnessed big changes in the past few years, which poses new challenges to primary school English teachers. But in western rural areas in China, most primary school English teachers are poorly-trained in terms of information-based teaching. For the selection of the study group the secondary school students have been selected. It is because secondary education builds the base for higher education, so it is the most important part of one’s life. Therefore there is need to analyze the educational facilities available in the secondary schools. For the selection of the study area, the secondary schools of Nalbari town has been selected. Nalbari is known as the “Navadeep” 0f Assam. There are several schools established in pre-independence era and has been playing a key role in promoting quality education in the society. However, parents has diminished in admitting their children in such schools. So a comparison on the educational facilities of such schools with recently grown up as private schools has a serious need.
