We receive payment for subjects relating to ‘Own Payment’, and
All conditions stipulated in your letter of offer are satisfied.
Please remember the following (which is further detailed in your Student Handbook):
If you wish to withdraw between the Administrative Date and the Census Date (inclusive) for a subject, the course fees for that subject will be put in fees in credit provided you follow the process in section 3.10.5 of the Student Handbook,
which includes paying and AIB receiving a late withdrawal fee (as detailed in your application form) per subject on or before the Census Date
If you wish to withdraw after the Census Date for a subject, the course fees for that subject will be forfeited
If you wish to withdraw after the Census Date for a subject and are granted medical compassionate, then provided you follow the process in section 3.10.6 of the Student Handbook, and AIB agrees that you satisfy the conditions for
medical compassionate, the course fees for that subject will be put in fees in credit
For the avoidance of doubt, no refunds are payable in any circumstances (rather fees in credit are available in certain circumstances) as indicated above
**Please note, AIB only grants medical or compassionate re-sits in its discretion, and upon appropriate evidence being provided. ‘Compassionate’ cases will need to be extraordinary grounds – not being able to sit exams or
undertake subjects because of travel or work reasons, personal reasons etc will not constitute extraordinary grounds. AIB may provide one medical or compassionate re-sit exam (for which a re-sit fee is payable) for a subject as it
deems appropriate. After that the student must re-enrol. **
Also, students may make replacements of subjects in some limited circumstances – refer to 3.10.1(c) of the Student Handbook for more information.
