 Internet has came a long away after it has been introduced in 1960. it started only for
doing researches by the government organizations. After years of evolution it is now
used by almost everyone via different kind of devices namely; mobile, laptop,
personal computer , tablet for their personal use and for organizational researches.

5. INTRODUCTION OF STREAMING
 It is impossible for us, as we are in the year 2020 to think without internet.
Internet has evolved a lot since its inception. A decade ago, I never thought
that I would one day stream music, videos and even television without
worrying about cable TV or radio. Today I stream Videos, music, television
shows, movies and even live sports and concerts via apps or different
streaming services.
 Streaming technology started in early 1990’s, and its since then evolved a lot.
While talking about streaming services; Youtube, Netflix, Amazonprime, Hulu,
Stan, Spotify are some of the examples which everyone in modern world uses
almost on daily basis.

Most Common examples are
Television/Monitors, personal
computer/Desktop, Tablets and
mobile phones.

7. According to statista, 2018, people are becoming more and more “Netflix
friendly” in usa these days other platforms are left way behind.

There are different options to search the information, the users can search the
information:
• On the search bar of the platform they are using. There is search bar in every
platform,
• Examples are: Roku TV, Apple TV, Android TV, Fire TV.
• You can search by : genre, Actors/directors name.

Several websites and apps let you search what’s available on their website
and tells you exactly the price to rent or purchase that. Most of these websites
gives you free access on all of their videos if you subscribe them. Subscription
fee varies from platform to platform.

streaming videos, songs Or any other content.

14. The market power player may currently be Netflix, but several competitors have recently
sprung up to give it a run for its money. HBO Now, Amazon Prime and Hulu are
well-entrenched in the market, but Disney+ and Apple TV+, both of which are scheduled
to launch later this year, are sure to take a bite out of the streaming industry.

15. FUTURE of Streaming platforms
1. Increased Competition: Netflix still remains number 1 but it is facing lots of
competition from its rivals like Hulu, amazon prime, HBO. Now, Disney is
planning to launch its own streaming service, and it’s likely that more media
companies will be fighting for space in the market in the near future.
2. Rate hikes: Customers are expecting to see 4K resolutions, uninterrupted
services and fresh new content on regular basis. For this they are willing to
pay more. Recently netflix has hiked their price and soon other competitors
will follow up.
3. Increasing demand of original content: in this competitive era all the
streaming platforms are focusing more and more on creating original
content. Companies are going to spend more on these movies and series,
Which means consumer will get plenty options to choose from as long as
he/she is willing to pay for it.
