The Outsiders:Nicole Omielanczuk, Sylvia Yi, Ajibola Ali, and Lance Flores
Even though our Growin’ Bag is meant for the Summer and
Spring seasons, that doesn’t mean you can’t yield strawberries
in the winter. Winterizing instructions vary in different zones:
Winterizing
• Zone 5-7:
	 Move the bag to a
cold garage with
a temperature
below 50 degrees
Fahrenheit. It should
be above freezing.
Remember
For a larger image, go to:
http://planthardiness.ars.usda.gov/PHZMWeb/
• Zone 8-9:
	 Move the bag out-
doors in a protected
spot where it can
receive natural
rainfall.
Water the bag lightly every four to five weeks to keep the soil
barely damp. Move the bag outdoors in early spring.
