NWA was an influential American hip hop group formed in 1986 in Compton, California consisting of rappers Ice Cube, Eazy-E, MC Ren, and DJ Yella. Their music focused on the violence and hardships in Los Angeles during the 1980s. Their controversial album Straight Outta Compton brought gangsta rap to the mainstream and is considered one of the most influential hip hop albums of all time.
Evaluation
The research the author conducted for an NWA article helped identify important topics to discuss and provided guidance on writing style, but not layout or tone. The pitch was helpful for outlining the author's vision for how they wanted to create and present the article. Feedback received indicated what readers would want to get from the article. The only change made was publishing the article as a blog. The experience helped the author know what to include for any necessary re-drafts.

Dr. Dre had success as a solo artist and producer before founding his headphone company Beats by Dre, which was acquired by Apple. He and Ice Cube are currently working on the NWA biopic Straight Outta Compton. Ice Cube has also had success as a solo rapper and actor in movies like 22 Jump Street. DJ Yell-O retired from music to work in the adult film industry but has reportedly returned to making an album. MC Ren also had solo success and recently released new music. A Strategic Approach: GenAI in Education
Artificial Intelligence (AI) technologies such as Generative AI, Image Generators and Large Language Models have had a dramatic impact on teaching, learning and assessment over the past 18 months. The most immediate threat AI posed was to Academic Integrity with Higher Education Institutes (HEIs) focusing their efforts on combating the use of GenAI in assessment. Guidelines were developed for staff and students, policies put in place too. Innovative educators have forged paths in the use of Generative AI for teaching, learning and assessments leading to pockets of transformation springing up across HEIs, often with little or no top-down guidance, support or direction.
This Gasta posits a strategic approach to integrating AI into HEIs to prepare staff, students and the curriculum for an evolving world and workplace. We will highlight the advantages of working with these technologies beyond the realm of teaching, learning and assessment by considering prompt engineering skills, industry impact, curriculum changes, and the need for staff upskilling. In contrast, not engaging strategically with Generative AI poses risks, including falling behind peers, missed opportunities and failing to ensure our graduates remain employable. The rapid evolution of AI technologies necessitates a proactive and strategic approach if we are to remain relevant.
