The murals in the rotunda of the Panama Canal Administration Building were painted by William B. Van Ingen and depict the labor involved in building the Canal through four scenes: the excavation of Culebra Cut, construction of the Miraflores Locks, construction of the Gatun Dam spillway, and a canal lock gate under construction.
