Student Activity: Students will work with in group to observe and identify properties of their fractions, create number line and place fractions accordingly.
Social Studies TEKS: 4.2D Students identify the accomplishments of significant empresarios Moses Austin, Stephen F. Austin. and explain their impact on their settlement of Texas.   STUDENT OBJECTIVE: Students will learn the hardship of Colonial life., identify accomplishments of significant empresarios and others with roles in colonization and explain the impact of the government processes of Mexico on the Texas colonists.   Activity: Teacher and Ss begin having discussions about Stephen F. Austin’s colonies and their establishment. Discuss content referring to Old 300. TEKS: 4..8A: Students identify clusters of settlement in Texas and explain their  distribution. Activity:  Students work in collaborative groups to begin Old 300 Project. Ss will write their individual letter requesting their acceptance into the colony . Evaluation: Students completed letter.
