1. STILL WATERS!
How is the water going to be still while the wind is always blowing,
how can it be waveless; the water is not going to be stilled by the
outside forces. You better build a big wall around your waters to
protect it from the winds.
In this world, in our communities there will always be some
observable negatives, unpleasant things will always be happening
around us. The air will always be filled with fearful voices, the
‘talkings’ of fearful people. Negativity always seems to sound louder
to many people, that’s all they can see… only the waves and the
winds.
Amid this I began to build a wall around my waters, ‘I silenced the
negative voices I learnt from my society,’ then in my heart ensued a
better peace. Serene-peace we cannot find from the outer
compartment of live, but from the inner compartment of our hearts
we can choose to rely. We can unleash our hearts to a higher
source… we can live for a better purpose.
A heart can be walled with truthful bricks, bricks of trustworthy
knowledge. Trusting in the all knowing God opens a heart to
immunity of anxiety. The winds that blows about you only reminds
one that the thicker he has to build his walls, and help his neighbour
to build like God. Rooted in the rock, a plant cannot be swayed by
any blowing wind. “Within my heart are the still waters,” and I have
become a still water. Peace.
“The LORD is my Shepherd;… he leadeth me beside the still waters.”
Psalm 23:1-2.
