2. GLOVES
• GLOVES WERE TRADITIONALLY USED TO COVER SKIN/SHOW MODESTY
SO TO LINK TO MY PROJECT, I WANT TO TRANSFORM THE GLOVES INTO
A REPRESENTATION OF THE SKIN UNDERNEATH.

• PAINT ON SCARS! (with paints/sfx makeup
• WRINKLE THE GLOVES
• FILL TO APPEAR MORE LIKE REAL HANDS
3. BALLOON
• I COULD BLOW UP A BALLOON TO REPRESENT SKIN FURTHER
METHODS:
• PAINT THE BALLOON SKIN COLOURED (can do with makeup)
• PAINT ON SCARS! (with paints/sfx makeup)
• PHOTOGRAPH WHEN BLOWN UP AND WHEN POPPED
• MANIPULATE SHAPE
4. PLASTIC BAG

• PAINT ON SCARS! (with paints/sfx makeup)

shape
7. CHOSEN IDEA:
As I am inexperienced in photographing still life in studio, I will choose
2 options so that I have better practice and chance of achieving the
perfect still life in relation to my project. My favourite idea is to use a
plastic bag, as there is more of a variety of methods and shots that I
could experiment in composition and direction with.
An easier option is to photograph the gloves, being more accessible
and related to human skin. As I already own gloves, I can create the
desired effect easily, just needing to paint on scars.
TEST SHOOTS: attempt low key and high key. Shoot still life after
portraits to ensure that the images work cohesively as a series.
