How should a human being perceive life?
The document discusses the importance of guarding one's heart and having the right heart, head, and home. It emphasizes that a pure heart is necessary to see God and experience heaven. Having the right information in one's head through studying scripture is also important. Together, a pure heart and informed mind will lead to the right home of heaven. The document encourages readers to make sure Jesus is on the throne of their heart so they can one day dwell with God in their eternal home.
“Being used by God
is not confined to pastors, preachers or teachers. Anybody can be an instrument
in God's hands.”
God can use anybody, believer or nonbeliever.
The document discusses what it means to be a committed Christian. It begins by examining a passage from John about Jesus being glorified and commanding his disciples to love one another. It then defines a committed Christian as someone who is committed to giving God all glory, loving other believers, and having unwavering loyalty to God. The challenges facing the church today that can undermine commitment are identified as religious pluralism, materialism, and secularism. The document emphasizes that true commitment involves living according to God's commands, not just making promises of loyalty.
The document is a sermon that argues the Lord demands total commitment from his followers. It provides numerous Bible verses showing Jesus requires disciples to deny themselves, take up their cross, and follow him above all else. The sermon warns that half-hearted commitment is not enough and that Christians must surrender all things to serve the Lord fully.
In this lesson we show God's will for all mankind and the importance of doing His will. We examine the sermon on the mount. Both slides and audio can be found together at www.cmcoc.org

Tit 2:11-14 For the grace of God that brings salvation has appeared to all men, teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly in the present age, looking for the blessed hope and glorious appearing of our great God and Savior Jesus Christ, who gave Himself for us, that He might redeem us from every lawless deed and purify for Himself His own special people, zealous for good works.
The document summarizes key events and lessons from the life of Joshua as recorded in the Bible. It emphasizes themes of courage, faith in God over confidence in the flesh, and the importance of sanctification and preparation for their calling.
The document outlines God's plan of salvation according to scripture as involving five steps: 1) Hearing the word of God, 2) Believing in Jesus, 3) Repenting of sins, 4) Confessing faith in Jesus, and 5) Being baptized for the remission of sins. It emphasizes that while people have come up with many plans of salvation, there is only one plan given by God in the Bible. It encourages examining whether one has truly obeyed God's biblical plan of salvation or been deceived by human-made plans.

Tithing and offerings are two interesting subjects, which many people have different meanings and applications. While tithing and offering are certainly biblical concepts, some people teaches that tithe is a command and offering is a sacrificial ‘will’ of a Christian; some also teaches that these are not so. What does the Bible teaches regarding tithing and offerings under the New Covenant?
In order to understand how tithing fits (or doesn't fit) into the life of a Christian or a religious person, we must first examine tithing as it was originally commanded, its meaning, and its purpose. Offerings which sometimes interchangeably defined to be tithes; one needs to understand the meaning of sacrifice, free will, giving, and sharing.
This book explains in detail: the doctrines, the command, the culture, the principles, and giving of tithes and offerings. It also outlines the most frequently asked questions on tithing, offerings, and giving.

This document discusses the doctrine of sanctification. It defines sanctification as being set apart from sin and unto God. Sanctification is the work of the Holy Spirit in making believers holy by implanting Christian graces and destroying sinful affections. It is not the same as moral virtue or religious practice alone, but is a supernatural, divine work that progressively makes one holy through faith in Christ, the Word, prayer, fellowship and other means. The signs of sanctification and a summons to pursue it are also outlined.
Walk Wisely, be Filled - Ephesians 5:15-21David Turner
Believers are called Children of Light! But Children of Light must walk in the light and have wisdom to know that they can be drawn in to darkness. The Spirit is the guide that keeps us from darkness. Ephesians 5:15-21 warns Children of Light to depend on the Spirit and not be drawn back into the darkness they once walked. Each fruit is then defined in more detail emphasizing their biblical meanings and significance for Christians.

1) God is inherently righteous while man is not.
2) Man tries to establish his own self-righteousness but all righteousness acts are like filthy rags to God.
3) Righteousness is imputed or credited to believers through faith in Christ. Christ's righteousness is credited to believers so God sees them as righteous.
4) The Holy Spirit imparts righteousness in believers by producing righteous works, spiritual fruit, and gifts in their lives as they walk in the Spirit rather than their own flesh.
010514 Sermon: Right Attitude For The New Yearmcjaaa

It encourages maintaining a "Jesus first" attitude by staying in God's will and putting Jesus at the center of all areas of life. It also emphasizes the importance of living generously by giving of ourselves as God gives to us. Finally, it promotes living with enthusiasm by being grateful, rejoicing in God always, and keeping a willing heart to do His work.
This document discusses how Christians should live in light of the imminent return of Jesus Christ. It examines different views on the rapture and tribulation period. The key points are:
1. Every generation of Christians believed Jesus was coming during their lifetime, based on signs in the Bible.
2. The document reviews passages suggesting the rapture occurs mid-tribulation or post-tribulation, not pre-tribulation as many believe.
3. Based on Jesus' teachings, Christians should live in constant readiness for His return, providing for others and making prudent preparations, rather than ignoring the signs of the times. How Christians live should reflect their eagerness to see Him.

It then provides several Bible verses demonstrating that God is faithful, including that He will not abandon His people. The document argues that God is faithful to maintain His glory, truthfulness, and reputation. It explains that God faithfully keeps His covenants and shows mercy to those who love and obey Him. In conclusion, it encourages readers to commit to being faithful in all things, with the promise that if they do, God will bless them as He promised He would bless the Israelites.
The document discusses the topic of prayer. It defines prayer as simply talking to God, like talking to a best friend or father. It says prayer can be done alone, with others, for others, in small or large groups, or as a nation. Prayer can occur anywhere, including in a car, bathroom, church, or outside. Jesus taught his followers the Lord's Prayer as a model for how to pray. The document also provides several Bible verses about prayer and its power.
The document discusses the keys of prayer, faith, and obedience in hearing God's voice. It states that through regular prayer and developing a personal relationship with God, one can hear His voice in thoughts of encouragement. Having faith in God without proof is also important. Obedience to God by following His commands makes it easier to believe and trust Him. The document provides five ways to practice hearing God's voice: setting aside daily quiet time, being still, not demanding answers from God, expecting to hear from Him, and being aware of messages from angels.
This document discusses three key principles about wealth based on biblical teachings:
1) God owns everything and we are merely stewards of what He provides. Recognizing His ownership keeps wealth in proper perspective.
2) Hard work and diligence are valued, as illustrated by the examples of Abraham, Isaac, Jacob and others. Idleness leads to poverty while working yields prosperity.
3) Contentment, not entitlement, should be our attitude toward wealth, as taught by Jesus and Paul. True fulfillment comes from God, not material possessions. How we use wealth can bless future generations or lead them astray.
This document contains notes from a Sunday school lesson on Philippians 3:20-21 about citizenship in heaven and the transformation of the body. It discusses the order of end times events including the rapture, glorification of believers, and the Bema Seat judgment. Believers will be rewarded for their works, deeds, and faithfulness on earth at the Bema Seat. Both rewards and losses are possible depending on one's obedience to God and good works done in His name. Works done with the right motives please God and lead to eternal rewards, though salvation is by grace alone.

This document discusses tithing as a sign of acknowledging God's lordship over time and possessions. It examines examples of tithing in the Bible, such as Abraham giving a tithe to Melchizedek and Jacob's promise to tithe after receiving God's blessings. The document outlines clear biblical instructions on tithing and how it was practiced throughout Israel's history. It concludes by appealing for people to recognize God as owner by faithfully returning tithes.
This document discusses the biblical concept of stewardship. It explains that as God's stewards, we are responsible for using the time, abilities, possessions, and other blessings God has given us for His purposes. This includes returning tithes and offerings to acknowledge God's ownership and support the proclamation of the gospel. The document references several biblical passages that discuss concepts like dominion over creation, tithing being instituted by God, and Jesus recognizing the duty of tithing. It also addresses proper use of tithes and time management as aspects of stewardship.
The document discusses the Sabbath and its roots in both creation and redemption from bondage in Egypt. While the Sabbath was given to Israel as a sign of their covenant with God, the new covenant established through Christ makes believers free from having to observe specific days or follow legalistic rules. True rest is found in intimacy with Christ, who fulfilled the law and its shadows, and believers should be convinced in their own conscience how to worship and honor God through the freedom established by grace.
The document discusses Christian stewardship of talents, time, body, possessions, and material resources. It explains that God has given each person gifts and resources to use wisely in service to Him. As stewards, believers must manage their talents, time, health, money, and property responsibly and use them to glorify God and help others until Christ's return.

Is the Spirit prophecy the Lesser light that's points to the Greater light the Holy Bible ?
Did not the Bible call Christ the Greater light ?
What is the correction understanding of the terms greater and lesser light ?
This document discusses the antidote to death that is found in Christ. It argues that the solution to life's difficulties is found within through faith in God, not in external circumstances. It references several Bible passages about having faith and not fainting in prayer. It discusses how the true identity of man is spiritual, not physical, and is found in Christ within. It challenges the idea of praying "if it be thy will" regarding healing, arguing that God's will as expressed in the atonement is already for healing. It quotes John G. Lake saying that sickness has no power if seen as unreal and not part of our true spiritual nature in Christ.
1) Stewardship refers to the careful and responsible management of something that has been entrusted to one's care, such as property or an organization.
2) The document discusses different areas of stewardship including the church, family, our bodies, our neighbors, and property in general.

This document provides an overview of a 2-week series called "Living The Blessed Life" taught by David Thompson. Week 1 focuses on Lordship and Generosity, while Week 2 covers Practical Stewardship and Generosity. The document discusses biblical principles of generosity, including that we are stewards not owners of what God provides. It encourages tithing as a starting point and promises God will bless the generous. The final week will share a story called "Miracle in Franklin" and discuss practical application.
The document contains announcements for various church events taking place in the coming weeks, including young professionals lunches, fellowship dinners, medical training seminars, and service projects. The main portion discusses a sermon on the righteousness of Christ that comes through faith alone, not works. It describes how Christ's righteousness is credited or imputed to believers, while their sins are imputed to Him, justifying and sanctifying Christians.
The document discusses the nature of intelligence and light. It teaches that God organized the physical elements of the universe through commanding intelligence and light. All things obey God and increase in intelligence by obeying his commands and continuing from grace to grace. Man follows the same pattern of obeying God to progress towards perfection and fullness of light and truth.
In the beginning God created heaven and earth
and everything that is in it.
Psalm 24:1 “The earth is the Lord’s and the
fullness thereof; The world and they that dwell
therein (KJV)
Our God is the sole founder of everything that ever
existed, and even before He laid his foundation,
He had already have them programmed.
After God created man in His own image, God
ordained man to be wealthy – holistically. Look at
this scripture, Gen. 1:28; “And God blessed them
and God said unto them (man and woman), be
fruitful and multiply and replenish the earth
and subdue it; and have dominion over the
fish of the sea and over the fowl of the air and
over every living thing that moveth upon the
earth”.
From the above scripture, God originally blessed
all man’s seeds and not some seeds.
This document provides an outline for a teaching on stewardship of talents. It begins by defining stewardship and talents, discussing their biblical basis. Talents originate from God and can be discovered through one's passions, training, family traits, or natural abilities. The document encourages discovering talents by considering what others acknowledge in you or what irritates you, and suggests practicing potential talents. To use talents effectively, one must recognize they come from God and serve Him, not oneself. The parable of the talents from Matthew emphasizes the importance of being a faithful steward who utilizes their talents for God.

It seems that current missionary work requires spending a lot of money, preparing a lot of materials, and traveling to far away places, so that it feels like missionary work. But what was the result they brought back? It's just a lot of photos of activities, fun eating, drinking and some playing games. And then we have to do the same thing next year, never ending. The church once mentioned that a certain missionary would go to the field where she used to work before the end of his life. It seemed that if she had not gone, no one would be willing to go. The reason why these missionary work is so difficult is that no one obeys God’s words, and the Bible is not the main content during missionary work, because in the eyes of those who do not obey God’s words, the Bible is just words and cannot be connected with life, so Reading out God's words is boring because it doesn't have any life experience, so it cannot be connected with human life. I will give a few examples in the hope that this situation can be changed. A375

Have you ever known someone who borrowed something for a long time and eventually
forgot who the owner was? Or have you ever forgotten who “that borrowed book” belongs
to?
In the parable of the wicked husbandmen (Matt 21:33-41), the owner of a vineyard remained in
the far country for a prolonged period without requesting a progress report from the
husbandmen. As time passed the husbandmen came to the conclusion that the fruit of the
vineyard rightfully belonged to them.
Just as the evil tenants attempted to take possession of the vineyard, we are prone to the same
attitude. We become possessive of what God has entrusted to us. Stewardship recognizes
God’s ownership of all things. Colossians 1:16b clearly states that all things were created
by Christ and for Himself.
Because we are not called on to give a present account of our stewardship, we are in
danger of losing sight of the true owner. The longer we use God’s gifts without
recognizing His ownership, the more likely we will begin to view them as our rightful
possessions. As good stewards we must continually remind ourselves of God’s rightful
ownership of all that we possess.

42 The Lord said, “Who then is the faithful and wise steward [of the estate], whom his
master will put in charge over his household, to give his servants their portion of food
at the proper time? 43 Blessed (happy, prosperous, to be admired) is that servant
whom his master finds so doing when he arrives. 44 I assure you and most solemnly
say to you, he will put him in charge of all his possessions. 45 But if that servant says in
his heart, ‘My master is taking his time in coming,’ and begins to beat the servants,
both men and women, and to eat and drink and get drunk,46 the master of that servant
will come on a day when he does not expect him and at an hour he does not know,
and will [a]cut him in pieces, and assign him a place with the unbelievers. 47 And that
servant who knew his master’s will, and yet did not get ready or act in accord with his
will, will be beaten with many lashes [of the whip], 48 but the one who did not know it
and did things worthy of a beating, will receive only a few [lashes]. From everyone to
whom much has been given, much will be required; and to whom they entrusted
much,of him they will ask all the more.

6. WHAT IS CHRISTIAN STEWARDSHIP?
6
Webster’s New Collegiate Dictionary defines a steward as “one
employed in a large household or estate to manage domestic
concerns (as the supervision of servants, collection of rents and
keeping of accounts).
Utilising and managing all resources God provides for the glory
of God and the betterment of His creation’

7. WHAT IS CHRISTIAN STEWARDSHIP?
7
Stewardship comes from the word, steward. A good steward
is one who does a good job taking care of something.
It can be defined as :
All that I do…with all that I have…all of the time…after
I have said “I believe”.

9. SQUARE ONE FOR STEWARDSHIP
9
Genesis 2:15 we read,
“The Lord God took the man and placed him in the Garden
of Eden to work it and watch over it”.
✓ First, God made everything, so God owns everything. The
garden belonged to God. Adam worked there, but he
didn’t own it.
✓ Second, Adam is the steward of the garden. God entrusted
Adam to care for the garden and watch over it. The goal of
a steward is to maximize the master’s investment.

Genesis 2:15 we read,
“The Lord God took the man and placed him in the
Garden of Eden to work it and watch over it”.
✓ Adam would be held accountable against God’s vision for
the garden and his actual work in the garden.

11
SQUARE ONE FOR STEWARDSHIP (CONT’D)
✓ Success depended on Adam understanding what God
wanted from His garden then working the garden so it
fulfilled God’s desire.
✓ Being a steward defined everything about Adam. Even
Adam’s relationship with Eve was framed by
stewardship.
Stewardship is what gives meaning, direction, joy and
purpose to our lives. There is no higher calling.
12. STEWARDSHIP IN THE OLD TESTAMENT
The Old Testament mostly refers to the Hebrew word
“ashurbet”, whilst the New Testament uses the term
“oikonomia”. The direct translation of both these words relates
to the management of the household of a ruler or a king.
✓The Hebrew concept of stewardship begins and ends with
God.
✓God is the creator and possessor of all things. Human
beings who possess God’s creation do so only as God
graciously delegates.

STEWARDSHIP IN THE OLD TESTAMENT
✓Genesis 1 and 2, when God grants Adam and Eve
dominion over the creation, He is asking them to rule
on His behalf.
✓The responsibilities of naming the animals, filling
and subduing the earth show that they are being
given an ambassadorial reign as God’s vice-
regents.
14. STEWARDSHIP IN THE OLD TESTAMENT
14
✓ There is never any doubt as to who is the true Sovereign. The judgment
Adam and Eve underwent after they chose to go their own way and come
out from under the rule and reign of God in Genesis 3 shows that they
were held accountable by the Lord.
Stewardship responsibility in the Kingdom of God was established from
the beginning.
✓ In Genesis 14, when Melchizedek brings out the bread and the wine and
blesses Abram, the first words out of his mouth are, “Blessed be Abram by
God Most High, Possessor [Hebrew: qanah] of heaven and earth”(v.19).
Two verses later Abram raises his hand and makes Melchizedek’s blessing
personal, in essence declaring, “Lord God Most High, everything I have
belongs toYou.” (v.22)

15. STEWARDSHIP IN THE OLD TESTAMENT
15
2019TEACHINGSERVICE
✓The covenant people of God in the Old Testament had a very
clear understanding of the concept of stewardship. Even their
songs of worship contained references and reminders to this
important spiritual principle. “The earth is the Lord’s and
everything in it, the world, and all who live in it; for he
founded it . . .” (Ps 24:1,2). Again, through the Psalmist, God
asserts, “For every animal of the forest is mine, and the
cattle on a thousand hills. I know every bird in the
mountains and the creatures of the field are mine. If I were
hungry I would not tell you, for the world is mine and all
that is in it” (Ps 50:10-12).
16. STEWARDSHIP IN THE NEW TESTAMENT
16
2019TEACHINGSERVICE
✓Jesus’ parable of the faithful and unfaithful servants
continues the theology of God’s ownership found in the
Old Testament.
✓Jesus was teaching them not only that the fullness of the
Kingdom of God was to be delayed, but that in the
meantime, while the Kingdom is “now” and “not yet,”
they must live a life of faithful stewardship.
17. 2019TEACHINGSERVICE
17
STEWARDSHIP IN THE NEW TESTAMENT
✓By analogy, Jesus’ parable calls God’s people to live as
responsible and accountable stewards of all that God
has entrusted to them.
✓Even though the faithful may anticipate heavenly
rewards (being put in charge of everything the master
owns) and the unfaithful punishment in hell (being cut
into pieces), there is no reason why these future
outcomes cannot be experienced on a smaller scale on
earth now.
18. 2019TEACHINGSERVICE

STEWARDSHIP IN THE NEW TESTAMENT
As we move beyond the parables to the rest of the New
Testament, it becomes clear that our stewardship consists
of more than just material things.
✓ In 1 Corinthians 4:1 , Paul says Christian workers are
stewards (plural: oikonomoi) of “the mysteries of God.”
Related to this is his use of the word “stewardship”
(oikonomia) to describe his preaching of the gospel
(1 Corinthians 9:16,17).
19. 2019TEACHINGSERVICE
19
STEWARDSHIP IN THE NEW TESTAMENT
✓In Titus 1:7, while listing the qualifications for elders, Paul
describes the overseer as God’s “steward”
(oikonomos). Paul is teaching that church leaders who
are entrusted with God’s church are accountable to
God for their oversight.
✓Finally, 1 Peter 4:10 says, “As each one has received a
special gift, employ it serving one another, as good
stewards (oikonomoi) of the manifold grace of God.

22. PRINCIPLE 1- GOD IS THE OWNER OF ALL THINGS
2019TEACHINGSERVICE
22
• The prayer of David quoted earlier summarizes beautifully
the foundational idea of stewardship: “Everything comes
from you” (1 Chronicles 29:14).
• The plea of the preacher to “give God ownership of your
life” is based on a false premise. Our lives and
everything we have is not ours to give. He already owns it
all.We can only recognize and submit to His ownership.
Psalm 24:1-2
Psalm 89:11
23. PRINCIPLE 2- WE ARE “ENTRUSTED”WITH “GOODS”
2019TEACHINGSERVICE
23
• We Are “Entrusted” with “Goods” to Care for as Part of
Kingdom Discipleship Until the Return of the “Master”
1. The servants received different amounts. In the same
way, not all of us are entrusted by God with the same
things—some receive greater responsibilities,some lesser.
2. The master distributed the talents according to his
servants’ ability (Matthew 25:15). We can trust that
God, in His providence, puts into our hands only what
we can aptly handle.
24. PRINCIPLE 2- WE ARE “ENTRUSTED”WITH “GOODS”
2019TEACHINGSERVICE
24
3. The master expected an increase. Judgment came to the
third servant for failing even to bring interest (Luke 19:23;
Matthew 25:27). Likewise, God expects us to bear fruit in
His Kingdom with is goods.
4. In Matthew’s version, the master is equally pleased with
the second servant who yielded two talents as he is with
the first who yielded five talents. We should not look at
how God has dealt with others to evaluate how He deals with
us. He is mainly concerned with our being faithful (Luke
12:42) with what we have been given.
25. PRINCIPLE 3- EARTHLY RESOURCES CAN BE USED FOR
ETERNAL PURPOSES
2019TEACHINGSERVICE
25
In Jesus’ surprising parable of the shrewd manager (Luke 16),
one of the key lessons taught is that worldly wealth can have
eternal value. Jesus warned that money has the potential of
becoming a controlling influence in our lives (16:13), and it
had become so in the lives of the Pharisees (16:14). Their
earthly view of money caused them to place a wrong value on it
(16:15). We are to view money as a tool God can use to
accomplish eternal work. Wise is the person who uses his
earthly resources so that he may someday enjoy eternal returns
on his investment (16:9).
26. PRINCIPLE 4- WE SERVE NOT OUR OWN PURPOSES, BUT
THE PURPOSE OF THE MASTER
2019TEACHINGSERVICE
26
The third servant in the parable of the talents did what appeared
right in his own eyes but was judged for not obeying the will of
the master. Indeed, the greatest punishment in the parable of the
faithful and unfaithful servants comes to the servant who knew the
master’s will and did not do it (Luke 12:47). By contrast, the
parable of the servant in Luke 17:7-10 reminds us of the primacy of
obedience in the master-servant relationship. Even if we do
everything God has asked us to do, we should remember that
obedience is only a minimum expectation. We are in line for no
special reward. We are simply serving our Master.
27. PRINCIPLE 5- WE WILL BE HELD ACCOUNTABLE FOR
OUR STEWARDSHIP
2019TEACHINGSERVICE
27
The New Testament reminds us of the Christian’s day of reckoning
before the Judgment Seat of Christ, sometimes referred to as the
“Bema Seat” (2 Corinth 5:10).
Salvation is a free gift given by God’s grace (Eph 2:8,9)
, yet each of us will still be judged by Christ to determine our
rewards for how we have lived.
Our redemption does not remove us from responsibility and
accountability before God. (Matth 16:27; 1 Cor 3:10-15)
Paul tells the Romans that “ . . . each of us will give an account of
himself to God” (Rom 14:12).
28. This means that we will have to give an explanation for
what we did and why we did it. It will not only be an
evaluation of deed but also an evaluation of the heart.
The judgment for poor stewardship will not result in the
loss of salvation, but there will still be loss: “If what he has
built survives, he will receive his reward. If it is
burned up, he will suffer loss; he himself will be saved,
but only as one escaping through the flames” (1
Corinthians 3:14,15).To put it bluntly, He will be saved, but
with the smell of smoke all over him.

Time is the indefinite continued progress of existence and events that
occur in apparently irreversible succession from the past through
the present to the future.
Time is a component quantity of various measurements used
to sequence events, to compare the duration of events or the intervals
between them, and to quantify rates of change of quantities in material
