Steve Jobs was born in 1955 in San Francisco and adopted by Paul and Clara Jobs. In 1969, he met Steve Wozniak and they built and sold illegal blue boxes together. Jobs dropped out of Reed College in 1973 but got a job at Atari. In 1975, Jobs and Wozniak started assembling computers in Jobs' garage and sold them, creating the Apple I in 1976 and the mass market Apple II in 1977. The Apple II was one of the first personal computers and helped make technology more popular. Jobs was determined and helped launch the personal computer industry despite only attending college for one semester.
