This document summarizes a study that analyzed articles about China and Russia in U.S. newspapers from 2002-2004 to understand their organic destination images. The study employed content analysis software to identify meaningful concepts in the textual data. The main findings were that China's increasing economic power and Russia's influence on world politics were the primary themes in the U.S. media's organic images of the two countries.
