Stearns Bank needed more bandwidth between its two data centers to support backups and disaster recovery, but its existing connection was too slow and public internet was not a secure option. It deployed Ecessa's SD-WAN solution, WANworX, to provide encrypted tunnels over two new high-speed internet circuits. While initial testing showed disappointing speeds, Ecessa helped Stearns uncover that the issue was poor peering between its internet providers, not the SD-WAN device. By changing one of its internet providers, Stearns was able to increase throughput by 30 times to 90MB while maintaining full compliance. The SD-WAN solution now allows its data centers to communicate securely as if local with fast backups
