Static charges on an electronic weighing scale
Problem
The presence of static charges on components that are weighed on an electronic weighing
scale will cause problems such as:
 Interference with the electronic circuitry of the scale, resulting in an erroneous
reading
 Component being weighed attracts dust, apparently adding to its weight
Solution
