Capital One confirms that an outsider has unauthorized access and access to certain types of personal information about Capital One credit card customers and individuals who have applied for loan products (Lu, 2019). The attackers have seemingly taken the opposite approach of the ransomware targeters, attacking them by exploiting a newly discovered bug in the way each financial institution dealt with their customer information. Capital One feel these losses could be made up or recovered through their insurance but have been unable to locate a sufficient company to cover the costs of their payment card losses. Capital tackled the issue and quickly started collaborating with federal law enforcement agencies (Lu, 2019).
According to their study, this has affected approximately 100 million people in the United States and about 6 million in Canada. It is important to note that no amount of credit information or guarantees has been compromised and at least one percent of public safety numbers have been compromised. In addition, the FBI found the stranger who had taken the records. The government said it believes the data was recovered and there is no evidence that the information was used for fraud or disclosure by that person (Bunker, 2020).

ALERT: Health Care Cybersecurity Reform and Regulations on the Horizon
The White House has proposed new cybersecurity legislation that would significantly impact healthcare organizations. The proposals would grant the Department of Homeland Security primary authority over cybersecurity for critical infrastructure like healthcare. This would require healthcare providers to develop cybersecurity plans subject to DHS and third party audits. The proposals would also standardize national data breach notification and preempt state laws, expanding the definition of a breach. Additionally, new tools are proposed to aid law enforcement in cybercrime prosecution. Congress is currently considering these proposals and various bills on cybersecurity reform, so increased regulation of healthcare cybersecurity is imminent.

1. About Project 2020
Project 2020 is an initiative of the International Cyber Security
Protection Alliance (ICSPA). Its aim is to anticipate the future of
cybercrime, enabling governments, businesses and citizens to
prepare themselves for the challenges and opportunities of the
coming decade. It comprises a range of activities, including
common threat reporting, scenario exercises, policy guidance and
capacity building.
The scenarios in this document are not predictions of a single
future. Rather, they are descriptions of a possible future, which
focuses on the impact of cybercrime from the perspectives of an
ordinary Internet user, a manufacturer, a communications service
provider and a government. The events and developments
described are designed to be plausible in some parts of the world,
as opposed to inevitable in all. They take their inspiration from
analysis of the current threat landscape, the expert opinion of
ICSPA members and extensive horizon scanning, particularly of
emerging technologies.
The European Cybercrime Centre (EC3) at Europol and the ICSPA
would like to express their heartfelt thanks to the Global Review
Panel of experts from governments, international organisations,
industry and academia who took the time to validate the scenarios.
This document is undoubtedly the better for it.
2. Implications for Cybersecurity Stakeholders
The scenarios presented in Section 5 raise a number of questions to
be answered by today’s stakeholders and decision makers. These
include:
• Who owns the data in networked systems, and for how
long?
• Who will distinguish between data misuse and legitimate
use, and will we achieve consistency? What data will the
authorities be able to access and use for the purposes of
preventing and disrupting criminal activity?
• Who covers (and recovers) the losses, both financial and in
terms of data recovery?
• Who secures the joins between services, applications and
networks? And how can objects that use different technologies
operate safely in the same environment?

• Do we want local or global governance and security
solutions?
• Will we be able to transit to new governance and business
models without causing global shocks, schisms and
significant financial damage?
If these questions remain unanswered, or the responses are
uncoordinated, we risk imposing significant barriers to the
technological advantages prom.

Rarely does a week go by without the announcement of another major data breach that has put thousands, or even millions of consumers at risk of fraud. From malicious use of compromised credit and debit cards, to increased identity theft risk to drained bank accounts, the threats are real and impact millions of consumers. . A key challenge for the incoming 114th Congress will be to implement long-needed reforms that will protect American consumers personal data from malicious use by criminal hackers.

of some pseudo-R2 statistics for assessing the predictive strength of the logistic
regression model. We present theoretical results regarding the convergence and
asymptotic normality of pseudo-R2s. Simulation results and an example are also
presented. The behavior of the pseudo-R2s is investigated numerically across a
range of conditions to aid in practical interpretation.

1. Introduction
Logistic regression for binary and multinomial outcomes is commonly used
in health research. Researchers often desire a statistic ranging from zero to one
to summarize the overall strength of a given model, with zero indicating a model
with no predictive value and one indicating a perfect fit. The coefficient of deter-
mination R2 for the linear regression model serves as a standard for such measures
(Draper and Smith (1998)). Statisticians have searched for a corresponding in-
dicator for models with binary/multinomial outcome. Many different R2 statis-
tics have been proposed in the past three decades (see, e.g., McFadden (1973),
McKelvey and Zavoina (1975), Maddala (1983), Agresti (1986), Nagelkerke
(1991), Cox and Wermuch (1992), Ash and Shwartz (1999), Zheng and Agresti
(2000)). These statistics, which are usually identical to the standard R2 when
applied to a linear model, generally fall into categories of entropy-based and
variance-based (Mittlböck and Schemper (1996)). Entropy-based R2 statistics,
also called pseudo-R2s, have gained some popularity in the social sciences (Mad-
dala (1983), Laitila (1993) and Long (1997)). McKelvey and Zavoina (1975)
proposed a pseudo-R2 based on a latent model structure, where the binary/
multinomial outcome results from discretizing a continuous latent variable that
is related to the predictors through a linear model. Their pseudo-R2 is defined
as the proportion of the variance of the latent variable that is explained by the

covariate. McFadden (1973) suggested an alternative, known as “likelihood-
ratio index”, comparing a model without any predictor to a model including all
predictors. It is defined as one minus the ratio of the log likelihood with inter-
cepts only, and the log likelihood with all predictors. If the slope parameters
are all 0, McFadden’s R2 is 0, but it is never 1. Maddala (1983) developed
another pseudo-R2 that can be applied to any model estimated by the maximum
likelihood method. This popular and widely used measure is expressed as

Capital One feel these losses could be made up or recovered through their insurance but have been unable to locate a sufficient company to cover the costs of their payment card losses. Capital tackled the issue and quickly started collaborating with federal law enforcement agencies (Lu, 2019).
According to their study, this has affected approximately 100 million people in the United States and about 6 million in Canada. It is important to note that no amount of credit information or guarantees has been compromised and at least one percent of public safety numbers have been compromised. In addition, the FBI found the stranger who had taken the records. The government said it believes the data was recovered and there is no evidence that the information was used for fraud or disclosure by that person (Bunker, 2020).

ALERT: Health Care Cybersecurity Reform and Regulations on the Horizon
The White House has proposed new cybersecurity legislation that would significantly impact healthcare organizations. The proposals would grant the Department of Homeland Security primary authority over cybersecurity for critical infrastructure like healthcare. This would require healthcare providers to develop cybersecurity plans subject to DHS and third party audits. The proposals would also standardize national data breach notification and preempt state laws, expanding the definition of a breach. 1. About Project 2020
Project 2020 is an initiative of the International Cyber Security
Protection Alliance (ICSPA). Its aim is to anticipate the future of
cybercrime, enabling governments, businesses and citizens to
prepare themselves for the challenges and opportunities of the
coming decade. It comprises a range of activities, including
common threat reporting, scenario exercises, policy guidance and
capacity building.
The scenarios in this document are not predictions of a single
future. Rather, they are descriptions of a possible future, which
focuses on the impact of cybercrime from the perspectives of an
ordinary Internet user, a manufacturer, a communications service
provider and a government. The events and developments
described are designed to be plausible in some parts of the world,
as opposed to inevitable in all. They take their inspiration from
analysis of the current threat landscape, the expert opinion of
ICSPA members and extensive horizon scanning, particularly of
emerging technologies.
The European Cybercrime Centre (EC3) at Europol and the ICSPA
would like to express their heartfelt thanks to the Global Review
Panel of experts from governments, international organisations,
industry and academia who took the time to validate the scenarios.
This document is undoubtedly the better for it.
2. Implications for Cybersecurity Stakeholders
The scenarios presented in Section 5 raise a number of questions to
be answered by today’s stakeholders and decision makers. These
include:
• Who owns the data in networked systems, and for how
long?
• Who will distinguish between data misuse and legitimate
use, and will we achieve consistency? What data will the
authorities be able to access and use for the purposes of
preventing and disrupting criminal activity?
• Who covers (and recovers) the losses, both financial and in
terms of data recovery?
• Who secures the joins between services, applications and
networks? And how can objects that use different technologies
operate safely in the same environment?

• Do we want local or global governance and security
solutions?
• Will we be able to transit to new governance and business
models without causing global shocks, schisms and
significant financial damage?
If these questions remain unanswered, or the responses are
uncoordinated, we risk imposing significant barriers to the
technological advantages prom.

Rarely does a week go by without the announcement of another major data breach that has put thousands, or even millions of consumers at risk of fraud. From malicious use of compromised credit and debit cards, to increased identity theft risk to drained bank accounts, the threats are real and impact millions of consumers. . A key challenge for the incoming 114th Congress will be to implement long-needed reforms that will protect American consumers personal data from malicious use by criminal hackers.

States and the federal government should not use private prisons for various reasons. First, most of the private prisons are for-profit facilities. Therefore, they cut on expenses such as lacking enough staffing and resources, which is likely to affect inmates' safety and quality of life. Further, while pro-private prisons note that private prisons save taxpayers' money, studies indicate that they do not reduce costs. For instance, the day to day cost of housing an inmate in 2010 was $53.02 for private prisons compared to $48.42 for a medium-security public prison (Pedowitz, 2012). Also, prisoners do not receive similar kinds of treatment in private facilities. Introduction to objective, scope and outcome the subject
Chapter 2
Introduction: Scope and Specialization of Civil Engineering, Role of civil Engineer in Society, Impact of infrastructural development on economy of country.
Chapter 3
Surveying: Object Principles & Types of Surveying; Site Plans, Plans & Maps; Scales & Unit of different Measurements.
Linear Measurements: Instruments used. Linear Measurement by Tape, Ranging out Survey Lines and overcoming Obstructions; Measurements on sloping ground; Tape corrections, conventional symbols. Angular Measurements: Instruments used; Introduction to Compass Surveying, Bearings and Longitude & Latitude of a Line, Introduction to total station.
Levelling: Instrument used Object of levelling, Methods of levelling in brief, and Contour maps.
Chapter 4
Buildings: Selection of site for Buildings, Layout of Building Plan, Types of buildings, Plinth area, carpet area, floor space index, Introduction to building byelaws, concept of sun light & ventilation. Components of Buildings & their functions, Basic concept of R.C.C., Introduction to types of foundation
Chapter 5
Transportation: Introduction to Transportation Engineering; Traffic and Road Safety: Types and Characteristics of Various Modes of Transportation; Various Road Traffic Signs, Causes of Accidents and Road Safety Measures.
Chapter 6
Environmental Engineering: Environmental Pollution, Environmental Acts and Regulations, Functional Concepts of Ecology, Basics of Species, Biodiversity, Ecosystem, Hydrological Cycle; Chemical Cycles: Carbon, Nitrogen & Phosphorus; Energy Flow in Ecosystems.
Water Pollution: Water Quality standards, Introduction to Treatment & Disposal of Waste Water. Reuse and Saving of Water, Rain Water Harvesting. Solid Waste Management: Classification of Solid Waste, Collection, Transportation and Disposal of Solid. Recycling of Solid Waste: Energy Recovery, Sanitary Landfill, On-Site Sanitation. Air & Noise Pollution: Primary and Secondary air pollutants, Harmful effects of Air Pollution, Control of Air Pollution. . Noise Pollution Harmful Effects of noise pollution, control of noise pollution, Global warming & Climate Change, Ozone depletion, Greenhouse effect
