More people than every are searching for online part time jobs from home and more so they are looking for things to sell to make money fast
It is all well and good starting a home based career but the biggest issue for all of us, including myself, is "what can I sell to make money now?" Of course, it is right and proper to consider the long-term aspect of any business venture, but surely we want to make money now and not in some abstract future, which to be honest, may or may not arrive. We are living and breathing today, so we want to earn money today while working for the future.
Most home based business do cater for this situation, because it is fully understandable that nobody wants to wait maybe six months until they can earn some money. So, as a taster to whats to come, becoming a distributor will give you the opportunity to make money from day one via retail sales.
In a down economy, many business owners feel the pinch and are quick to cut expenses. What expenses should be cut? Unfortunately, all too many times, a decision is made to cut back on marketing. (Sales staff, advertising, direct marketing, networking, etc.)
By cutting marketing, business owners could actually be missing new sales growth opportunities. In an economic downturn there is a huge opportunity to invest in marketing to capture more market share, as your competition runs into trouble and makes the mistake of cutting back their marketing. Your competitors may not have the foresight or the capital to make good marketing decisions. By investing in effective marketing during an economic downturn, it puts your company in a better position when the economy rebounds.
Instead of making a decision to cut marketing, it would be better to re-evaluate your marketing plans to make sure they are most effective. Knowing where to spend your marketing dollars and why, is critical in getting the best return on investment. This is where having an effective marketing plan is invaluable when times get tough.
Whether you have a marketing plan or not, here are some tips that can assist you in doing effective marketing in economic downturns.

Welcome to the Team! Recruiting and Hiring, Including Restrictive Covenants (...Financial Poise
You only get one chance to make a first impression, so you want to make sure your company avoids unnecessary missteps when recruiting and hiring employees. Understanding what you can and cannot say during interviews and how to respond when a candidate volunteers information that may be considered “off limits” is essential. At the same time, there are a host of laws being passed throughout the country that address when and what sort of information you can request from applicants regarding their criminal and financial histories. In the event you decide to protect your organization by requiring certain employees to sign some type of restrictive covenants—non-competition, non-solicitation and/or non-disclosure—there are a host of legal and practical issues to consider. This webinar explores these and other issues so that you can be confident, going forward, that you are starting off on the right foot—legally, at least—when you hire new employees.

3. THE BASICS
• Branding yourself
• Pick a name for your company
• Make sure that company name isn’t
already taken
• Discover your niche in the industry i.e.
You will focus on cleaning small
doctors offices or daycare facilities.
• Get a $5.50 logo from Fiverr.com
• Get cheap business cards and fliers
• Become a legal company
• Head to your local courthouse or call to
find out what simple steps you need to
take in your state
• You will need a business license and
insurance. They are a lot cheaper than
what you think.
• Do not clean any buildings without
getting the proper insurance first
4. GETTING CLIENTS
Asking your network
• Contact ALL family and friends and
ask them to contact the person in
charge of their company
• Reach out on your social media
accounts
• You want to exhaust every possible
lead you currently know before you
start promotions and cold calling.
Don’t expect anymore than 1 lead to
convert, but do not worry. This is
common.
Promotion + lead
• Slash your prices to undercut all
competitors for your first customer.
• You will have a easier time getting
clients once you get your first one, so
taking a big hit on profit in the
beginning can save you down the
road.
• Promote a 5% discount for every
extra client a client refers to you and
10% additional off if that client
converts. Do this up to a possible
50% off. This will make your first
client promote for you
Cold calls & visits
• Never cold call on a Monday or
Friday, There’s either too much to do
or they are ready to leave the office
• Don’t ask if they need a new cleaner,
but ask when will their current
contract ends and if you may place a
bid to “Save them money and give
them a better clean”.
• Give them a business card so they
can reach you when their current
contract is a month away from
ending.
5. OPERATIONS
Hiring
• Aim to hire people that our in college or
needs to work 2nd and 3rd shift part time.
• Make sure you are following U.S. law
during interview questions. You can find
out what you can ask at
http://www.gsworkplace.lbl.gov/Docume
ntArchive/BrownBagLunches/IllegalorIna
ppropriateInterviewQuestions.pdf
• When I am searching for new employees
I make sure to include the phrase ”
Experience Required”. It scares away bad
workers, but good workers will still apply
even if they don’t have experience
Supplies
• It is best to make your own supplies
in the beginning. You can find
recipes at Pinterest
• You will need to clean with
• VACUUM
• Mop
• Mop bucket
• Spray bottles
• Window cleaner
• All purpose cleaner
• Towels
• Vehicle to transport you to the offices
