4 PRACTICAL TRAINING AND WORKING EXPERIENCE
Currently working at Archibshop Mihayo University College of Tabora (AMUCTA) as a
Tutorial Assistant (Assistant lecturer) from April, 2016 to date.
I am currently working at AMUCTA as assistant lecturer in the area of special needs education
with hearing impairments being as my area of specialization.
Working in Kigoma Ujiji Municipal Council as a Government Secondary School Teacher
from May 2015.
In the month of May, 2015 the government of Tanzania through its responsible ministry of ……
employed me as a Secondary School teacher in Kigoma-Ujiji municipal in one of its Schools
called Buhanda Secondary School. The School mentioned above has been my working station
where I was teaching Geography while expanding my horizon of knowledge about hearing
impairment.
Worked at SEKOMU as Sign Language Interpreter from 2014-2015
I served as sign language interpreter at SEKOMU from 2014 to 2015 while in the final steps of
finishing my Bachelor degree studies and in the first year of my Master degree course work
(CW). This gave me another sort of experience in the area of hearing impairment.
Worked at SEKOMU Audiologic Clinic as Assistant Clinical attendant from 2013-2015
 Opening clinic and doing necessary arrangements of equipment in the clinic
 Engaging in preparing various demonstrations to students during practical hours
 Attending clients for ear checkups and audiometric testing
 Advising and counseling ear patients on how to keep their ears and hearing safe
 Placing orders, receiving, inspecting and issuing hearing aids and other assistive listening
devices under supervision.
 Developing reliable and effective methods and techniques to be applied by the students in
their practical school life and in their future in the field of hearing impairment and
Special Needs in general.

 Achieving maximum integration with other departments of Special Needs Education at
the University.
 Attending seminars and workshops in different parts of Tanzania concerning hearing loss
and deaf communities.
Worked at Western Tanganyika college in Kigoma as tutor and Focal Person from 2010-
2011
I have been working with the institute mention above from 2010 to 2011 as tutor and a person to
travel in different parts of the region of Kigoma to publicize and advertise the college. I was
teaching studies like General studies, Communication Skills as well as secondary education
studies for those who wished to re-seat for their exams.
Worked at SEKOMU-SO Student Representative Council as Secretary of Parliament from
2013-2014 and as member of Parliament of SEKOMU-SO from 2014-2015
As a member of SEKOMU community I managed to serve as a Secretary of Parliament after
being elected by many members of Parliament of SEKOMU-SO. Furthermore, while in my first
year of Master degree of Education Special Education, I have managed to serve as Member of
Parliament representing Master students in the specialty of Hearing Impairment at the Masters
level
