               Sunday, February 26 – Wednesday, February 29
Daytime sessions will take place at the Orlando Shakespeare Theater. Evening
programs will take place at the DoubleTree by Hilton Orlando Downtown.

DAY 1 SUNDAY, FEBRUARY 26
      6:00 – 7:00 p.m. Attendee Check-In at the DoubleTree Lobby
7:30 – 9:00 p.m. Shakespeare With Heart: Inclusive Shakespeare (OST Artists)
Shakespeare With Heart is a two-week camp for middle and high school
students. This inclusive camp is a collaboration between UCP of Central
Florida and OST which brings students with and without special needs
together to produce a Shakespeare play. The sense of empowerment and
community achieved by the students involved is palpable. Adult classes
have been created for the group that started as high school students seven
years ago and are now in their early twenties. This roundtable discussion
will explore the benefits and challenges of doing Shakespeare with an
                       inclusive cast.

            MAIN CONFERENCE
11:30 a.m. – 12:40 p.m. Break Out Sessions
Mandell Theater Hic et Ubique: Staging the Supernatural
BREAKOUT With gritty TV realism on the one hand and fantastical films with their
lavish special effects on the other, how can theatres stage Shakespeare’s
ghosts, fairies, and witches for today’s theatre audiences? What resonance
might the supernatural have for us today compared to our 16th/17th
                      century predecessors?
Moderator: Fred Adams (Utah Shakespeare Festival)
Panelists: Patrick Mulcahy (Pennsylvania Shakespeare Festival); Philip
Sneed (Colorado Shakespeare Festival); Ian Gallanar (Chesapeake
                      Shakespeare Company)
Conference Room Before and After Shakespeare
BREAKOUT How might we complement the Shakespeare repertoire to enrich our
theatre companies’ and our audiences’ enjoyment of Shakespeare’s
plays? The panel will recommend exploring plays by Shakespeare’s
contemporaries, adaptations of his plays, and plays inspired by
                      Shakespeare.

                      Lue Douthit (Oregon Shakespeare Festival)
OPO Rehearsal Hall “Then” Shakespeare: Revisiting Original Practices
BREAKOUT This session is designed to investigate the current thinking about
Original Practices as a performance style and/or company point-of-view.
While some theatres describe themselves as OP companies, others have
abandoned the designation. Over the years, OP has been a topic of much
conversation and debate. This panel will raise the question about the state
of Original Practices Shakespeare and what its future may or may not be.
Moderator: Kevin Costa (Chesapeake Shakespeare Company)

cultures and societies about themselves, their aspirations, their disasters
                     - and performances from Russia to Turkey to Brazil prove how universal
                     and contemporary these plays are.

Last year a conference plenary focused on how we might exploit the new
social media marketing purposes. This year we will split into two groups
and explore how the web and new media might enrich the content of our
                     artistic or education programs.
Mandell Theater A. Session - Social Media and the Artistic Mission
BREAKOUT How are member theaters using new media to support their artistic
mission? More theatres are using broadcast in movie theatres for
performance, YouTube auditions for actors, Google docs to edit, and
downloading and comparing scripts from the web. How are you using
                     new media at your theatre?
Moderator: Rob Barr (Bard on the Beach Shakespeare Festival)
Panelists: Jim Helsinger (Orlando Shakespeare Theater); Lisa Tromovitch

Margeson Theater B. Session - Social Media and the Educational Mission
BREAKOUT How can the web and new media support active theatre-centred learning?
Is screen-based learning a contradiction when trying to engage students
with the “now” of live theatre? How can we avoid resorting to posting
study guides on-line? What opportunities does the web offer us for
                     collaborative projects?
Moderator: Michael LoMonico (Folger Shakespeare Library)
