Long ago in Turkey, a boy named Nicholas inherited wealth but wanted to help the less fortunate. He secretly delivered food, money and gifts to those in need. To help a poor family with three daughters, Nicholas left bags of gold on their doorstep for each daughter's wedding dowry. The father discovered Nicholas and promised to keep his good deeds a secret, but couldn't help telling the town about Nicholas's kindness, which he continued each year by delivering presents to good children on St. Nicholas Day.
