Nestlé is a 150 year old Fortune 500 company with over 75 brands across 8 categories that generated $91.6 billion in sales in 2014. To help more women identify with its corporate brand, Nestlé plans to launch a #NestleWoman marketing campaign on TV and social media highlighting the stories of women like 30 year old mother of two Kathryn who enjoys chocolate after work and showing how over 80% of responders recognize at least 6 Nestlé product lines which has led to over a 5% increase in overall sales.
This curriculum vitae outlines the education and career of Mavis Erlene Keepin as an independent artist over the past 37 years. She received a Master of Arts in Humanities from the University of Chicago and has since had a successful career as a painter and photographer. Her work has been exhibited widely in solo and group shows nationally and internationally. She has also taught art extensively and provided community service through arts organizations.
The study assessed climate change awareness and adaptation strategies among rural farmers in southwestern Nigeria. Quantitative data on climate trends showed relatively stable temperatures but highly variable rainfall patterns in recent decades. Through surveys and interviews with 54 households, the majority of farmers reported noticing changes in climate, duration of seasons, and impacts on crop yields. Length of farming experience determined awareness of climate impacts and choice of adaptation strategies. While most farmers were aware of climate change, they live below the poverty line, so government support is needed to help farmers cope with climate-related crop losses.

Kenya actively participates in international climate change efforts such as ratifying the UNFCCC and its Kyoto Protocol. Kenya's National Climate Change Action Plan (NCCAP) from 2013-2017 prioritizes adaptation and mitigation actions across sectors like agriculture, water, forests and energy. The NCCAP is being implemented through programs and legislation that aim to transition Kenya to low carbon climate resilient development. Key adaptation actions include promoting climate-smart agriculture, mainstreaming climate change into water and sector plans, and restoring forests. Key mitigation actions include increasing renewable energy, improving cookstoves, and developing low-carbon transport. Implementation involves strengthening adaptation programs, finalizing climate change laws and policies, and developing plans like the
The document summarizes findings from the State of DevOps report on IT performance. It discusses how high-performing IT organizations were twice as likely to exceed goals in areas like profitability and productivity. Key metrics for IT performance included lead time for changes, release frequency, time to restore service, and change fail rate. The document also discusses how surveys and log data were analyzed, with a focus on establishing validity and reliability of measures. Demographics showed little difference among large enterprises. High-performing organizations had significantly better throughput and shorter lead times. Security was also found to be addressed more effectively by high-performing teams.
How to Do Effective Church Communications & MarketingTithe.ly
You'll walk away with deeper knowledge and practical tips on:
* How to make effective communication part of your core strategy.
* How to structure your communication to bring people from online to offline.
* Real world example of how one church is seeing results using a strategic digital approach.
*** Plus we will give you templates, ebooks and access to the tools we used in the real world example so you can take action quickly.
By Jason Alexis, Co-Founder at FaithVox. As ‘articulate’ as Moses and as ‘polished’ as Peter, Jason just loves passionately sharing ways churches can replicate their offline experiences, online. As a former mechanical engineer turned stay-at-home ‘Mr. Mom’ (2 boys and a loving wife), he relies heavily on data-driven, digital marketing to help churches achieve their goals. You would "click" with him if you want to remain biblically conservative but bold in the ways you share Jesus, digitally.
Infrastructure as code might be literally impossibleice799
The document discusses many challenges and issues with using infrastructure as code. It notes that code operates outside of one's frame of reference unless every line is read thoroughly. It provides examples of bugs that have caused major performance problems and outlines vulnerabilities in common package management systems. The document argues that true reproducible infrastructure will require better computer system building and being honest about technology's limitations.
The document is the 2013 plan for the Latvian Evangelical Lutheran Church of Denver. It provides an overview of the church's current status, strengths, mission, and goals for 2013. The church owns its building and has $95,000 in reserves. It aims to increase attendance to 30 people on Sundays through various programs. The plan projects $60,750 in revenue and $60,681 in expenses, leaving a small projected balance. It outlines capital improvements and increasing the pastor and organist's roles.
Diffy : Automatic Testing of Microservices @ TwitterPuneet Khanduri
Agile development has become a norm nowadays. Though it fosters faster product development cycles, it often results in a higher number of functional and/or performance regressions. In an SOA setting such as Twitter, such regressions may cascade from one service to one or more services. Detecting such regressions manually is not practically feasible in light of the hundreds of services and tens of thousands of metrics each service collects. To this end, we developed a novel tool called Diffy to automatically detect such regressions.
The key highlights of the talk are the following:
A simple yet effective approach for detecting functional regressions. False positives are minimized via statistical analysis of metrics obtained from a tuple <primary,> of nodes, where the same traffic is sent to each node.
An ensemble approach to performance regression. The need for an ensemble of classifiers stemmed from the multifaceted characteristics of the performance data. In order to minimize the impact of variability of hardware performance across nodes, we used two clusters – instead of a tuple of nodes – corresponding to the release candidate and production code. The approach is robust against the presence of anomalies in the performance data.
The proposed techniques work well with minute data. Diffy has been in use in production by multiple services at Twitter, and has been baked into the continuous build process so as to actively detect functional and/or performance regressions.
We shall take the audience through how the techniques are being used at Twitter with REAL data.
This is a sample strategic plan for a church that needs to promote spiritual growth within its membership and make connections with its local community organizations.
ASTC 2010 Presentation on Development and other Depts (2)Erik Pihl
This document outlines Erik Pihl's presentation on charting cross-divisional involvement in development. It discusses seven core competencies of development, including organizational planning, fundraising culture, board/volunteers, programs/evaluation, donor management, communications, and infrastructure. It notes that Pacific Science Center sees development as a comprehensive philosophy involving all staff. PSC's two-dimensional strategy of broadening and deepening engagement has resulted in membership, visitor conversion, and corporate giving growth even during an economic downtownt. National giving statistics and building sustainable institutions through diversified funding sources are also addressed.
