The students created a wooden pen that contains an 8GB USB stick within its wooden casing. This allows the pen to serve both purposes of writing and data storage. The students prototyped different designs using various types of wood. They modified a lathe to cut the wood pieces for the pen casing. The final product had fabric casings decorated with hand-stamped Greek pottery designs. The wooden pen was showcased at commercial exhibitions where it garnered business interest and won a creativity award.
