The document discusses the French past tense called the passé composé or perfect tense. It is used to talk about past actions and events. The perfect tense has two parts - a helping verb from avoir or être and a past participle. For regular -er, -ir and -re verbs, the past participle is formed by replacing the infinitive ending with é, i, or u respectively. Some common verbs like faire, voir, and lire have irregular past participles. Examples are provided of conjugating verbs in the perfect tense. Homework is assigned to write a story using at least 10 verbs in the perfect tense along with connectives and opinions.
The document provides tips for teaching gifted and talented students, including having them recap previous lessons, complete tasks faster, take on leadership roles like note-taker or chairperson, teach others, and work in ability-based groups. It also suggests using higher-level exam questions, differentiating objectives, and allowing alternative responses beyond writing.
