The SLS Way: Pre-course
• We carry out a full participant’s needs
assessment in conjunction with their
manager or training manager
• An SLS professional conducts a pre-
course assessment phone call
• The participant completes a “Personal
Inventory”

The SLS Way: During course 1/2
• The Course objectives are set,
agreed upon and signed off
• The participant is asked to assess
their level of effectiveness in
English at the start of the course
using the SLS Profiler
• The course is delivered in
adherence to the agreed objectives

The SLS Way: During course 2/2
• In-depth feedback is given to the
participant
• A continuation “Action Plan” is prepared
• The participant is asked to re-assess
their level of effectiveness in English on
completion of the course using the SLS
Profiler
• A full “Course Report” is written and
returned to the participant’s manager/
training manager.

The SLS Way: Skills transfer
• The participant transfers the
acquired language skills into
their working environment
• The continuation “Action Plan” is
adhered to
• The manager/ training manager
experiences the real benefit of
the participant's new
effectiveness in English

The SLS Way: Follow-up
• A 3 month follow-up is sent to
the participant to record the
current level of effectiveness in
English using the SLS Profiler
• These are then assessed and
the results are then discussed
with the manager/ training
manager if required

• Is a unique value-added tool to measure the results of
your training investment in one-to-one courses
• It ensures that the course is participant-driven
• It facilitates a clear understanding of the training benefits
• All participants are encouraged to use the SLS Profiler to
self-assess their effectiveness when performing their job
in English. This happens at the start of the course, on
completion of the course and again after their return to
work at the 3 month stage.
