This document describes a pilot project in Uganda that aims to help young women ages 14-21 who were formerly child soldiers or child mothers. The program provides skills training, helps with healing from past trauma, and facilitates reintegration. It aims to be sustainable through income generating projects like agriculture and savings groups. Partnerships with NGOs, government, and opportunities for training and student/faculty service projects are discussed to strengthen the program and create reciprocal learning. The goal is for the young women to become agents of change.
