Southern CT June Bugs is a special hockey team for children with developmental disabilities run by mentors, coaches and volunteers. The team aims to provide hockey skills, social skills like making friendships, confidence, and opportunities to make new friends through ice hockey. Mentors serve as role models, friends, teachers who assist the coaching staff and encourage and support players. Those interested in becoming a mentor must complete a registration form, attend an orientation, and attend a training meeting.
