This document provides information about the South Daytona CRA and its history and goals. It was established in 1996 through a county resolution to last 30 years. Blight studies were conducted in 1997. The CRA aims to reverse economic decline, increase property values, and generate tax revenue through redevelopment. Annual reports on CRA activities and finances must be filed and published. The CRA offers incentive programs and plans to create design standards to guide development. Examples shown include a facade improvement grant that leveraged funds for building repairs, a streetscape project that buried utilities, and a new condo development that increased tax revenue.
