qualitative research approach
to inductively build a “theory”—
that is, it aims to generate
testable knowledge from data
rather than to test existing
knowledge [1].

19. Follow
the
steps:
• Clear tables of personal belongings
• Read the first transcript
• Highlight significant raw data
• Use scissors to cut the pieces of raw data
• Read the 2nd transcript and do the same.
• Identify possible relations between and among
raw data. Do not force to relate if there is none.
• Read the 3rd transcript and do the same.
• From a cluster of raw data, draw out a concept.
• Paste the cluster of data on a manila paper and
label it with a concept.

20. Follow
the
steps:
• Read the remaining transcripts and repeat the
process until saturation (3-4 data to build a
concept)
• Draw out relations of concepts by looking at
common properties.
• Label the property. It is now a category.
• Explore if there are thematic relations among
categories. They are the core categories.

21. How do
we write
the
narrative
?
Start with the Core Categories. Formulate
declarative statements. This forms the
general picture of the parish or diocese.
Expound the general picture by writing sub-
sections, the Categories. Eg. Mabuting
Ugnayan
In each sub-section or category, introduce
the related concepts and give examples of
raw data.
DEDUCTIVE METHOD From general to
specific

22. MABUTING UGNAYAN
Nararanasan sa aming parokya ang magandang ugnayan ng isa't isa.
Tampok dito ang magandang ugnayan ng Pari sa mga lider ng siimbahan.
Nasasalamin ito sa mga pahayag katulad ng, "Very personal si Father at mga lider ng
parish", "Madaling lapitan ang pari kung may idudulog kaming problema sa barangay",
"Hindi ako nahihiya na magsabi o magsuggest kay Father", "Dahil sa pagkakaisa ng mga lid
er, maraming nagagawang programa at natutulungan sa parokya."
Bukod dito, maganda din ang ugnayan ng mga lider sa isa't-isa. Kinakikitaan ito ng
masayang pagsasama-sama, pagtutulungan at sama-samang paglago sa
kabanalan. Sinabi ng mga ilang nakikiisa sa konsultasyon, "May rosary kami every
first wednesday at sharing pagkatapos..."Nagdadalawan kami sa isa't isa, lalo na kung nagk
akasakit ang kapwa namin lingkod","Tuwing unang sabado, pumupunta kaming bpc sa sim
bahan para maglinis", "Kapansin-
pansin ang saya ng mga lider sa aming kapilya sa barangay."
