     Our Lady of all Nations
  For the New Evangelization
               of Nations
“O Lord, Take from us all lukewarmness in meditation and
all dullness in prayer. Give us fervour and delight in
thinking of you.” (St. Thomas More)
                    Pray the Creed
Cenacle with Mary
 The Cenacle is Group prayer,
 with Mary and all angels and saints,
 using the Rosary,

First Sorrowful Mystery
        The Agony in the Garden
In his anguish, he prayed with all the greater
intensity, and his sweat became like drops of
blood falling to the ground. Then he rose from
prayer and came to his disciples, only to find them
  asleep, exhausted with grief.
Fruit of the mystery: Sorrow for sin
The Sorrowful Mysteries represent “the culmination
of the revelation of God’s love.” (Pope John Paul II)
1. Jesus took leave of his mother
                                            This desire for suffering
and the wishes of my divine
Son led me on in the way of
                                            suffering. For those whom
                                            He loves, He chastises and
                                            afflicts. (Prov. 3, 12) I as
his Mother was not to be
                                            deprived of this blessed
                                            distinction of being entirely
                                            like unto Him, which alone
                                            makes this life most
                                            estimable.” (Mary of

2.** Jesus prayed to the Father
Sin is the cause of Our
                                  Lord’s mortal agony. Let us
                                  ask for contrition over our
sins. Let us pray for the
                                  conversion of sinners and
                                  especially our own
                                  conversion.
                                  Before every important
event in Jesus’ life He took
time off by himself to pray.
We can alleviate Your pain, O
Lord, by sharing the burdens of

3. **He had sight of an angel from Heaven, encouraging Him.
Jesus shows us that the greater our distress, the more
earnest should be our prayer.
                                                     “I am much
                                                     grieved to find so
                                                     few who console
                                                     my Son in his
                                                     sorrows.
                                                     Weigh in thy
                                                     heart, how much
                                                     it cost my Lord to
                                                     reconcile
                                                     mankind to the

Jesus went back to his disciples to find them asleep.
4.Then He went back again and prayed.
“My children, never seek your comfort in anyone but God. In your
times of loneliness, doubt, and depression, have recourse to prayer.”

5.** The Abandonment by the disciples
“Today, how many abandon Him, being seduced by the
attractions of the world. How many sleep the slumber of
doubt, lack of faith, indifference and mediocrity.” (Gobbi)

                                             “Weep and afflict
                                             thyself that so many
                                             should live in such
                                             forgetfulness.”

6* The betrayal by Judas
“Today, Jesus is again betrayed by those who are not faithful
to the promises of their baptism. They walk along the road of
pride, pleasure, egoism, and evil. They betray Him because
they no longer believe in his divine word.” (Gobbi)

9.** Peter’s denial
                                        “Fly also from
                                        dangerous interactions

                                        the example of Peter. If
                                        thou fall in thy weakness,
                                        weep over thy fault and
                                        seek my intercession.

struck him on the face.

                                                     soul than to suffer.

                                                     He will come to

2.* To heal us
                                           He took all the
                                           pain because He
                                           loved us, and
                                           wanted to heal
                                           us of our sins,
                                           and of all the

3. To set us free: By the scourging He received, He
wants to set us free, of all types of oppression and bondage.

                                                   The spirit of
                                                   the Lord is
                                                   upon me. He
                                                   has sent me
                                                   to proclaim
                                                   release to the
                                                   captives, and
                                                   to let the
                                                   oppressed
                                                   go free.
4. Offer me your sufferings.
                              “Let these children of mine
                              offer me all their sufferings,
                              all their misunderstandings,
                              all their difficulties. This is
                              the greatest gift that they
                              can make to me.
                              Nothing comforts my
                              Sorrowful Heart more than
                              a suffering which is offered
                              to me out of love.”

5.**Spirit of Penance.
“I ask that they offer their
                    sufferings in a spirit of
                    reparation, of purification
                    and of sanctification.
                    I myself personally and
                    lovingly take care to give
                    consolation in suffering and,
if it be in the will of the Lord,
to offer the gift of healing.”

6. Let us never forget that we have been redeemed
at great price by the precious blood of Christ.
                                         “By the stripes
                                         of Christ, we
                                         are healed and
                                         set free. By the
                                         scourging, He
                                         atoned for
                                         mankind’s
                                         sins of
                                         sensuality
                                         and impurity.”

Third Sorrowful Mystery
       Crowning with thorns

They stripped off his clothes and wrapped
him in a scarlet military cloak. Weaving a
crown out of thorns they fixed it on his
head, and stuck a reed in his right hand…

 Fruit of the Mystery: Courage
1.* The mocking of Jesus
                           He bore this dreadful
                           torment to expiate all
                           the sins of the human
                           mind, of man who
                           thinks he is wiser than
                           God, who wants to
                           reason and explain
                           everything.
                           Let us ask for the
                           grace of humility of
                           mind.
                           Eduard Manet, Jesus mocked

2.* Crowning with thorns
                    Christ, You are the King
                    of Kings, yet You allowed
                    Yourself to be mocked
                    and derided. Help us to
                    bear insults with equal
                    patience.

If those who deride us are
wrong, let us not hold it
                    against them.
If they are right let us
                    correct our faults for Your
                    sake.
3.** Humiliations

                                          The sight of Jesus’
                                          humiliations makes
                                          us accept scorn and
                                          abasement as our
                                          due.
                                          Let us unite our little
                                          earthly sufferings to
                                          those of Jesus, in

4.* Loss of faith
                                    “He is rejected and spurned
by many of the faithful who
                                    follow ideologies which are in
                                    style today but which propose
values opposed to those of the
                                    Gospel.”

                                    “Secularism has entered into
the lives of so many of the
                                    baptized and the priests who
                                    behave, not as disciples of

“His face no longer has the
                     semblance of a man, so
disfigured is it by the blood
                     and the blows.” (Gobbi)

                     “To recite the Rosary is
                     nothing other than to
                     contemplate with Mary
                     the face of Christ.”

                    reparation by your
                    presence for the countless
                    acts of abandonment. Let

                    of love for Him.” (Gobbi)

7. The beatings
7. The beatings
“Today, Jesus is again struck in
the poor, the weak, the little
                  ones, the oppressed, the
                  exploited, the persecuted, the
                  abandoned, the marginalized,
                  the sick and the dying.”
                  (Gobbi)
                  Suffering is part of human
                  existence. Christians are
called to suffer with and for
                  others. (Pope Benedict XVI)

8.* The suffering “Make use of suffering as a
                                  means of healing you from
                                  the sickness of corruption,
                                  of infidelity, of rebellion, of
                                  impurity, of atheism.
                                  Pray that suffering may
                                  serve to convert all those
                                  who have strayed far from
                                  God.” (Gobbi)
                                  Suffering is the greatest
                                  treasure on earth; it
                                  purifies the soul.

He has borne on his body the sufferings of
all. His divine resurrection is the greatest
proof that He alone is the Man of all

8. Jesus fell the second time
Our Lord fell several times to show us that we can have the
misfortune of falling but we must get up quickly, take up our

9. Jesus spoke to the women of Jerusalem.

                       “My Jesus, I weep for
                       the sins which I have
                       committed against you
                       because of the
                       punishment I deserve
                       for them; and because
                       of the displeasure they
                       have caused You. It is
                       your love, more than the
                       fear of hell which makes
                       me weep for my sins.”

10. Jesus fell the third time.
                       At those times, Jesus,
                       when we feel most
                       defeated and want to
                       give up, strengthen us
                       with Your persevering
                       spirit.
                       Your failing strength
                       makes me see how
                       helpless I am. Without
                       You, I can do nothing.
Help me to rely on your
                       strength, to see how
                       much I need You.

Fifth Sorrowful Mystery
             The Crucifixion
Jesus uttered a loud cry and said,
“Father, into thy hands, I commend my
spirit.” After he said this, he expired.

 Fruit of the mystery: Perseverance
 Forgiveness & Conversion of sinners.
   (St. Louis de Montfort )
1.*Jesus is stripped of
   his garments.
“My innocent Jesus, by the
torment You suffered in being
stripped of your garments,
help me to strip myself of all
attachment for the things of
the earth that I may place all
my love in You who are so
worthy of my love.”
(St. Alphonsus Liguori)

2.**Christ is nailed to the cross
                      You have shown us,
                      Jesus, that forgiveness is
                      a great sign of love.
In the act of forgiving, we
                      claim nothing for
                      ourselves, but are
                      concerned only with the
                      good of the other.
Help us to take those first
                      selfless steps to forgive
                      those who have hurt us.

                      Cross, 1582, Hermitage. St. Petersburg.
3.**** “Father, Forgive them for they know not what
they do.” It is not in our power not to feel or to
forget an offense, but the heart that offers itself to the Holy
Spirit turns injury into compassion and purifies the memory
in transforming the hurt into intercession. (Catechism)

4.** “ Remember me ”
The good thief accepted his suffering and was saved. The bad thief
rejected the cross leading to his perdition. Suffering makes souls grow if
they accept it with love and submission but it is an occasion of perdition
for those who revolt against God. Sufferings are the pre-eminent graces
of God.

5. “Woman, Behold thy son. This is your mother.”
                        “The Mother of Christ, who
stands at the very center of this
                        mystery---a mystery which
                        embraces each individual and
                        all humanity—is given as
                        mother to every single
                        individual and all mankind. The
man at the foot of the Cross is
                        John, ‘the disciple whom he
loved.’ but he is not alone.
Mary is the mother of mankind,
                        the mother of members of
                        Christ.” (Pope John Paul II)

                        The Crucifixion, 1503, Munich.
6.** “My God, My God, Why hast thou forsaken me”

                      The charity of God toward
                      men was boundless and
                      everlasting.
                      He had mysteriously
                      suspended the influence of
                      the Divinity over his most
                      sacred humanity, thus
                      permitting his sufferings to
                      reach the highest degree
and to draw from them the
                      most abundant fruits.
                      Mary of Agreda.
7.*** “I am thirsty”
“If what I suffer for men my
love for them seem great to you,
be assured that my love for
them is still unsatiated, that it
                       continues to long for their
                       eternal salvation, and that the
                       mighty waters of torments and
                       sufferings have not
                       extinguished it (Cant. 8, 7).
Much more would I suffer for
them, if it were necessary, in
                       order to deliver them.”

8.*** Jesus dies on the Cross
                    The memory of our
                    Lord’s sufferings is a
                    great comfort in the
                    sorrows of this life, a
                    stimulant to encourage
                    us to sacrifice ourselves
in our turn for the love of
                    God.
                    May we be generous
                    souls, ready for
                    everything, despite our
                    weaknesses and
                    miseries.
9.**** Divine Mercy
“The Church is born in the cradle
formed by the blood of the Son
and the tears of the Mother. Tears
and blood. They are the price of
your ransom. They are the gift of
divine mercy.”

                           descend into the sepulchre
with Christ, in order to die

                           world.
Let it be the sepulchre of
                           your slavery, where all the

                           under the dominion of
                           Satan be destroyed.
May you emerge as a new

Consecration to the Immaculate Heart (Short version)
“ Virgin of Fatima, Mother of Mercy, we who belong to the Marian
Movement, consecrate ourselves in a special way to your
Immaculate Heart. We also consecrate our motherland (Nation)
to your Immaculate Heart. We intend to live with you, through
you and for you , all the obligations assumed by our Baptismal
consecration to bring about in ourselves that interior conversion
so urgently demanded by the Gospel, that we may be available
only to do always the will of the Father.
Allow us to dwell in the garden of your Immaculate Heart . Lead
us to a spiritual renewal with prayer and penance, with the daily
recitation of the Holy Rosary, the fervent celebration and
adoration of the Holy Eucharist, the practice of Christian virtues,
and in the works of the apostolate .
Help us to be the disciples of The Marian Movement to multiply
everywhere Cenacles of prayer made with you for the
evangelization of the world, and the Divine Mercy prayer , for the
  salvation of the world.
Help us to do everything with you in a spirit of humility, prayer
  and penance.”
Finally pray one Our Father,
one Hail Mary, and one
Glory be, to the Holy
Father’s intention.
