• In the run up to the 2014 State of the Nation (SONA) address on the 13th
of February 2014, it is necessary to have a review.
• The aim of a focus on the State of the Nation address is of course to
highlight and make visible the themes, shortcomings and promises made
by the ruling party through various initiatives, programmes and legislation
over the past four years.
• We analysed the previous speeches done by President Jacob Zuma from
the last four years too see which issues he has focused on for the past
years.
• We have taken the key issues addressed by the President and we used
Social Data to see if the people of South Africa have been happy with all
the issues he addresses at SONA 2014 compared to the past years.
• Keywords tracked for the Social Media Reports were related to the State
