The Amazing Ants received an urgent email from Ms. Gillman asking for help collecting plastic ring pulls from containers around the school by 3pm that day to give to Melissa from PCF, who needed them to make bracelets to raise money for children to go to school. The Amazing Ants discussed the request and decided to help by replying to Ms. Gillman saying they could collect the ring pulls. They then divided into groups, took bags, and went around the school collecting ring pulls from the designated areas to give to Melissa.

Many children grow up without families due to disasters, disease, or war and live with relatives or in institutions. They lack maternal affection and companionship. Events like performances can provide joy but human interaction is best. It is good to spend time with these children, have them over for meals, play with them, and make them feel welcome instead of like intruders. While adoption is ideal, anything offered to children without parents is precious. There are also older adults unable to have children who feel sad and useless alone in old age. We must offer companionship, help, and a smile to both children and elders without families.

Dave and Sarah celebrated New Year's Eve 2010 at Brian and Kavita's new home in Chicago. In January, Sarah broke her ankle requiring surgery with a plate and screws, and received help from friends and family during her recovery. In March, they celebrated their engagement with a party introducing their families. Sarah also started a new job and they moved to Bloomington. They had their wedding in May and honeymooned in Florida. The rest of the year included family celebrations, helping friends with their wedding in Ireland, starting new jobs, and spending time with friends and family for the holidays.

Hello Clothes collected reusable clothes and shoes for another charity until the same date. The emails show the students communicating their projects and seeking permission from teachers.

Counting In Tens
The students grouped cubes into tens to count them and keep track on number grids as counting the large number of cubes to 530 was made easy doing it in tens, as their 200 number boards were too small so they counted on a 1000 number grid on a screen.
Recipe wrting
The Powerful Panthers wrote recipes for healthy snacks made from fruits and vegetables bought at the market. They gave the recipes to their teacher Mr. Gillespie so he could make the snacks at home. They then reflected on how to improve the recipes by adding pictures, making the text bigger and numbering the steps. They discussed using a computer to make editing and printing the recipes easier. Finally, they decided to compile the recipes into a cookbook to give to Mr. Gillespie and let others taste their healthy cooking.

A simple presentation for Year 7 students introducing the main parts of a recipe. Intended to be used with instruction that develops the students ability to read and understand the structure of a recipe. After practice with techniques, students feel confident to try new recipes and write their own recipes.

Power Grid Model
The global energy transition is placing new and unprecedented demands on Distribution System Operators (DSOs). Alongside upgrades to grid capacity, processes such as digitization, capacity optimization, and congestion management are becoming vital for delivering reliable services.
Power Grid Model is an open source project from Linux Foundation Energy and provides a calculation engine that is increasingly essential for DSOs. It offers a standards-based foundation enabling real-time power systems analysis, simulations of electrical power grids, and sophisticated what-if analysis. In addition, it enables in-depth studies and analysis of the electrical power grid’s behavior and performance. This comprehensive model incorporates essential factors such as power generation capacity, electrical losses, voltage levels, power flows, and system stability.
Power Grid Model is currently being applied in a wide variety of use cases, including grid planning, expansion, reliability, and congestion studies. It can also help in analyzing the impact of renewable energy integration, assessing the effects of disturbances or faults, and developing strategies for grid control and optimization.

Do you have time to empty the ES ring pull collection box and all of the containers in the HS canteen so that I can pass on a big bag full of our ring pulls to Melissa today? I think Ms. Murphy and Ms. Pavic may have some too, so I will collect theirs and then pick up the ones you collect from your classroom at the end of the day.
