Pick n pay is the second largest supermarket chain store in south Africa.it can also
be found in other regions of southern Africa,such as Botswana,Mozambique,Zambia,Lesotho
Zimbabwe,and Nabia as well as Mauritius and had planned to open in Malawi but has yet to
do so.
The purpose of the project is to store terabytes of different departmental
information generated by Pick n Pay and extract meaning information out of it. The
solution is based on the open source Big Data Hadoop .The data will be stored in Hadoop
file system and processed using Map/Reduce jobs. Which intern includes getting the word,
excel, PPT and PDF data from the client team, Process the data to obtain respective
department related information meaningful information with respect to their domains,
Extract various reports out of the processed information and Export the information for
further processing.

3. Description:
NEXT is a cell phone service provisioning, billing and management application. This is
a web application developed using Spring, Hibernates, and deployed onto Web logic
container. The functionality ranges from Celcom users to self register their prepaid or
postpaid accounts, billing payment, customer support, and mobile number portability. In
addition this application supports administration using role based authorization to allow
functionalities of Administrator, Distributor, Dealer, Service representative.
Roles and Responsibilities:
· Develop and enhance the application using Spring and Hibernate.
· Responsible in designing the user interface (JSP) flow and creating Spring configurations
based on that.
· Implemented various functionalities like Pagination, Sorting, action in the application.

Vehicle ordering system, it’s a useful application, which would give stock details to the
super dealer, admin dealer and customer. This project contains six modules they are
Browse stock, vehicle ordering and order placement, browse pipeline, dealer maintenance,
record achievement and retail capture. By using this project an super dealer can add an
sub dealer or he can delete the sub dealer. It’s providing various mechanisms to access the
stock and order for the vehicle, I involved in record achievement and retail capture
Record achievement is used to the record achievement information by this a dealer or
customer can enquiry the data, or he can browse the data or he can modify the record
details. it’s allowing too ways of access the by giving achievement code and dealer code for
accessing the entire stock details pertaining to a particular dealer. By giving either order
number or vehicle identification number (VIN) he can directly access the particular record.
Retail capture wills talks about the retails pertaining to a dealer, by this module we can
enquiry the retails, we can browse the retails and we can modify the retails
This module also provides two ways of accessing the data by giving dealer code or by
giving either VIN or order number.
