from over 2 million items listed on its e-commerce site. Hence, they need a quick strategy
to identify items and put them on sale with optimum discount. This leads to minimize
warehouse and supply chain cost for the client.

Implementation:
• Listed items data pulled from Oracle database into HDFS via Sqoop scripts with
conditional import.
• Hive scripts were written data transformation and filtering.
• Bash scripts written for validations, logs, checks, error handling.
• Job Workflow/Scheduling has done using Oozie.
• HQL used for getting filtered data as per business case and exporting the result set
to Oracle database via Sqoop.
• Providing training to e-Retailer team for setting up on-premise Hadoop cluster and
importing data into HDFS.
