6. What is the Clipsync Platform
ClipSync developed and operates an interactive social TV platform. The platform
allows publishers to leverage their content and viewers by providing social
applications with advertising. The Company's platform also allows users to repurpose
existing content for social consumption, drive viral traffic to social applications, and
serve interactive advertisements for traditional and group consumption through its
hosted and managed solution.
The platform also reconstructs the natural gestures of group social interaction into an
online experience by augmenting various types of videos into a social experience
which can enable viewers to watch the same video content on demand or
simultaneously chat, comment, interact, and compete. In addition, the platform can
enable viewers to participate in live events or broadcasts. ClipSync was founded in
2007 and was based in San Francisco, California.

Platform Description
• ClipSync Interaction Platform supports central management of multiple
interactive applications across multiple viewing platforms and partners.

20. ClipSync Platform Overview
• The ClipSync platform is highly-scalable and is designed to
accommodate millions of concurrent users across any number
of interactive applications.
• All elements of the platform have been designed to be
redundant with failover, allowing for reliability and uptime.
21. Platform Architecture
• ClipSync’s platform architecture is simple and modular, comprising an application layer and a
database server layer.
• The application layer is cloud-hosted, with identical application server instances running in
the cloud. Each application server exposes JSON API services to end user clients and makes
use of data caching to minimize database requests. The platform’s Central Management
Portal, enabling administration, production, content management, reporting, and other
capabilities, is hosted on every application server, guaranteeing accessibility to management
tools.
• End user clients are able to connect to any application server in the pool and communicate
with any connected client as allowed. Incoming end user clients are directed to the least-
loaded application servers. Client-server connection is IP persistent for efficiency, but should
an individual server fall below threshold response times, clients are immediately and
seamlessly redirected to a new server in the pool. The platform constantly monitors activity
load and when a threshold is reached across the server pool, the platform spins up additional
application server instances in minutes.
• The database layer is hosted on dedicated redundant servers running MySQL, with additional
reporting and backup services.
22. Platform API
• The platform API exposes services for all supported
client application features via JSON- formatted HTTP
requests.
• Partners are encouraged to build applications against
these APIs for any supported device. We are
prepared to further explain the API as desired.

Manage Content
“Go to” drop-down:
• Lobby – opens client for this content in another browser tab and puts you
into room.
• Rooms – drops you into Monitoring tab -> Rooms
• Playlist – drops you into Playlist tab.
• Edit: Should appear the same window as for content creating. Make changes and press OK.
• Delete: Should appear confirm dialog. Press OK or Cancel.
• Options: You can configure set unique options for current content.
• Content info (short version of Room List tab): Shows list of rooms for current content, users count for each
room and room's status. You can edit room’s data (name, type, creation method), delete room and adjust
room's time.
