Social Problem Among Teenagers Essay
Crafting an essay on the topic of social problems among teenagers is undeniably challenging.
This theme encompasses a myriad of issues, ranging from substance abuse and peer pressure to
mental health concerns and the impact of technology. The complexity arises from the need to
delve into each of these aspects, analyzing their causes, effects, and potential solutions.
Moreover, the dynamic nature of societal challenges demands a comprehensive understanding of
current trends and the ability to synthesize information from various sources.
To effectively address the topic, one must navigate through the diverse experiences of teenagers,
acknowledging the cultural, socioeconomic, and regional factors that contribute to these
problems. This requires extensive research, critical thinking, and empathy to capture the nuances
of the issues at hand. Furthermore, the essay must strike a balance between presenting the
gravity of the problems and offering constructive insights or potential interventions.
Another layer of difficulty arises from the ever-evolving landscape of teenage experiences. What
may be a significant concern today might evolve into something entirely different tomorrow.
Staying abreast of the latest developments, studies, and societal shifts adds an extra layer of
complexity to the writing process.
The emotional component cannot be overlooked either. Many social problems among teenagers
are deeply rooted in personal struggles, making it essential to approach the topic with sensitivity.
Balancing objectivity with empathy is a delicate task, requiring a nuanced understanding of the
human experience.
In conclusion, writing an essay on the social problems among teenagers demands a multifaceted
approach, combining in-depth research, critical analysis, and emotional intelligence. The task is
not only to dissect the issues but also to offer meaningful insights and potential solutions. It's a
challenging endeavor that requires a thorough understanding of the topic's complexities and the
ability to communicate these complexities coherently. Similar essays and more can be ordered on

Gallstones Research Paper
What is Gallstones in Cats?
The cat s gallbladder is a small, balloon shaped organ that is located in the lobes of
the liver. Its primary function is releasing bile into the digestive tract to aid in the
digestion of food. Cholelithiasis is a condition that causes small stones, or choleliths,
to form in the gallbladder. These stones are typically made of calcium carbonate
mixed with other secreted substance and minerals.
Though gallstones are rare in cats, the presence of large stones is a medical
emergency as the stones can block the bile from being released and cause problems
with the liver, digestive system and the kidneys.
Symptoms of Gallstones in Cats
Symptoms may be mild or not present at all until the gallstone blocks the flow of bile
from the gallbladder. Typical symptoms include:
Lack of appetite
Weight loss
Vomiting
Abdominal pain
Jaundice, which will present with yellowing of the inner ears, whites ... Show more

The ultrasound will look for the presence of gallstones, inflammation of the liver,
blockage of the bile duct, thickened gallbladder walls or an oversized bile duct tract.
An ultrasound can detect gallstones that are two millimeters or larger in size.
Treatment of Gallstones in Cats
No Treatment
Small gallstones that aren t causing symptoms or digestive problems may not need
any treatment. These stones are typically found during an ultrasound for another
condition, such as pregnancy.
Medication
Antibiotics will be prescribed to the cat to clear infections or bacterial
complications that are causing the gallstones to form. Antibiotics may also be
prescribed before surgery in order to prevent infection from occurring after surgery.
Ursodeoxycholic acid may be prescribed twice a day in order to dissolve small
gallstones that aren t blocking the bile duct. S Adenosylmethionine, or SAMe, may
also be given in order to improve bile production and function of the liver.

Essay On Missed Appointment System
The recall system is to minimize missed appointments in the practice as missed
appointments result in unproductive time and an increase workload so patients
often need a reminder to trigger the appointment for them. For the recall system to
be effective one staff member needs to monitor and enter correct data. A patient s
permission needs to be sought before contacting them for a recall appointment or
be given to them on there final visit and issue an appointment card. Recording
recall dates on patients record with either a paper based which consists of file index
cards that need to be maintained monthly this method is less effective with more
labor involved. Or an electronic system where the practice will have a procedure in
place that will
Why Summer is my Favorite Season of the Year Essay
My favorite season of the year is summer because of the warm weather, the school
vacation, and the endless fun. I really enjoy the warm weather because it s the
perfect atmosphere to do outdoor activities. My favorite part about summer has to
be the fact that school is closed for two months. During summer, you re free to do
whatever you want, not worrying about curfew or waking up early for school.
Summer time is a great time to relax with friends and family by soaking up the sun
at a beach or simply having dinner together. I love the hot and humid days that
makes you want to dive into a fresh and cold pool. When summer time starts, you
can wear lighter clothes, which are much more comfortable. The weather allows
people to go outdoors to... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The break calls for staying up late and waking up whenever you want to. Everyone
works so hard during the school year, so they deserve that free time. Summer times
are stress free, relaxing, and basically fun. You don t have to worry about
homework, projects, and studying for a test. One of my favorite summer pastimes
is staying up late watching movies and eating junk food, and then waking up late
and having brunch. Summer season is the best time for festivals and activities.
You can never get bored on a summer day or night. During the day, there are fun
activities such as: swimming, sports, picnics, and barbeques. Friends and family
spend a lot of time together during the summer time. There is a lot of good food,
drinks, and fun music. Everyone is laughing and having a good time. Summer
evenings are the best time for concerts, movies, parties, and relaxing with friends.
The summer evenings are beautiful because of the sparkly and glittery city lights.
One of the best events of the year, July Fourth, happens during summer. The
celebration of July fourth is very extravagant and glamorous. People gather around
to celebrate and watch the display of fireworks. The vibrant colors and the loud
sound of the fireworks are amazing. Overall, summer is just a wonderful season with
so much to offer. The best thing about this time of the year is that everyone is so
happy, whereas, compared to the winter, everyone is
Modern Day Vegan Research Paper
Modern day vegans
Donald Watson, on 1944 had a meeting with non dairy vegetarian, Elsie Shrigley, to
talk about the lifestyle and diet of non dairy vegetarian diets. These pioneers were
the first people to discover a new movement although resistant. They felt that they
needed a new name, something more brief than non dairy vegetarians . vitan ,
dairyban , and benevore were some of the rejected words. They settled on vegan ,
because it had the first 3 and the last 2 letters of vegetarian . In Donald Watson s
words, it marked the beginning and end of vegetarian .
Despite the fact that vegan diet has been defined early on it was as late as 1949
before Leslie J Cross said that the vegan society lacked description of veganism and

The Ethics Of The Vermont Teddy Bear Company
Introduction The purpose of this article is to illuminate the need for any
organization to have its IT strategy and business strategy properly aligned. While
many organizations view IT and business alignment as an event it is actually an on
going process, or continuous journey. Therefore, the main problem is that many
organizations of today still hold these two principles (business mission IT strategy)
as two separate entities. However, in the Information Age collaboration is key to
capturing and retaining market penetration. To not have alignment with the IT and
business strategy together is not a matter of want it is a matter of survival. This
report will expand upon the need for business and IT strategic alignment as well as
examine what happens in lack of a comprehensive plan. This will be done by
examining the Vermont Teddy Bear company prior to and after the arrival of Bob
Stetzel, the Vice President of Information Technology. This document will view it
findings and make recommendations on the immediate and future operations of the
company. VTB Organizational Challenges The challenges facing Mr. Bob Stetzel
upon his arrival at VTB were many. However there are some which weigh heavier on
the success of the organization than others. It is those challenges that will be
highlighted in this report. One such problem is the constant influx of uneven demand
for products and services which suggests a lack of IT strategy connected to the
business goals.
How Did Akhenaten Changed Religion And Politics Within
The...
Akhenaten changed religion and politics within the Amarna period through his large
scale religious and artistic reforms, decision to leave Thebes and make Amarna the
capital and relations with third party powers in the ancient Near East.
Early on in his reign Akhenaten began introducing new artistic styles, both in
relation to religion and personal portrayals of the royal family. After moving the
capital from Thebes to Amarna in search of new land on which to worship Aten (the
God of sun/light) the artistic portrayal of the god changed to become one the most
symbolic and abstract depictions of a God in Ancient Egypt (Weigall 1922, 120). The
new depiction of Aten became a sun disc with long rays extending hands down to
earth, and often to the royal family or the king himself. This can be thought of as
symbolising the power given to the king by the Gods (Kempt 1989, 173). Akhenaten
also introduced his own style of royal artwork, in which the royal family was
represented in an exaggerated manner. The most notable of these exaggerations was
the changes to facial features, such as the long skull and chin, and large oval eyes.
This is thought to perhaps represent the separation of the royal family from everyday
Egyptian people, however this contradicts with the meaning of another change to
Amarna artwork, the personal, intimate portraits of the king s family life (Kempt
1989, 265).
Akhenaten greatly influenced the way in which people worshiped by making
changes to traditional
Short Essay On The Day In London
London awoke on a Sunday morning to the sound of car horns and sirens. Almost
every day, London s busy traffic always blared up to her in her flat, and after
checking the clock, she noticed that it was 7:56 a.m. Rising out of bed for the day,
London walked over to her kitchen to make a cup of, her favorite, Earl Grey tea.
After the teapot made it s classic hissssss of being done, her London Metropolitan
Police mug, that she borrowed from work, meet steaming hot water. After plopping
a few tea bags, she made her way to her balcony and sat down. In the bright and
clear London morning, London saw a lot of the historical city from her perch on the

London then realized that it was actually match day at the London Stadium. Which
then helped her understand why when she was at the stadium, so many people

that the match was set to kick off at 3 p.m. Not only that, she found out that it was
against another London club. After realizing this she smiled yet again, she loved
London derbies for the excitement and electric atmosphere they brought with
them. After all, facing off against a local team always means sparks are gonna fly.
After glancing at the clock she saw that it was only 10:37 a.m. which made her
sigh some. She had no clue how she was going to pass the time until kickoff.
Flopping down on her sofa she settled on watching a few reruns of Downtown
Abbey. Meanwhile, she checked a news app to catch up on the happenings in the
quite nearby Parliament. After killing a couple hours with reruns and boring news
she realized at 12:46 p.m. that she had not at anything ate anything at all that day.
Nando s, her favorite fast food place, sounded really good to her. After eating
decided on just boneless chicken breast with some chips on the side. Just as she
finished up her meal, her friend texted and asked if London
Notes On Blue Terms
DEFINITONS: BLUE TERMS
Albedoпѓ
The amount of solar radiation that is reflected by a surface or object. If something
has a high Albedo it reflects more of the Sun s radiation, whereas a low reflection
then reflects less. Snow and ice, both have a high albedo as they both reflect high
proportions other Sun s radiation. A couple examples of a substance having a low
albedo would be vegetation (grass or trees) and oceans. Though the albedo of soils
and earth does vary as factor such as cloud cover, snow, ice, leaf cover, and land use
affect how much radiation a surface can reflect from the Sun.

Earth s climate has always been changing, though the change that is being observed
now is such a concern due to certain factors. The thing that is concerning about
climate change is the rapid rate at which it is occurring. Changes in climate are
happening at a very fast speed, changes in the past were dramatic but gradual at the
same time, over a time span of thousands of years. Also, the possibility of climate
change to continue at the same speed is very likely as many factors both natural and
human activities affect it.
Although the media often refer to Global Warming, a more appropriate term is
Global Climate Change. Why does it matter, and what is the difference?
A more appropriate term for the change we are witnessing in climate is Global
Climate Change rather than Global Warming. The term Global warming means that
the climate of the Earth is increasing in temperature, globally. Yes, the world is
getting warmer although there are many factors that take a part in this change in
climate. These factors such as precipitation, and evaporation are all part of this
global change and in order to include all these changes a better term is needed rather
than Global Warming. The term that can be used to modify the understanding of
these changes is Global Climate Change. Global Climate Change

Jewish Migration And The Holocaust
While researching texts written about Jewish Diaspora, I came across many
documentary publications on Holocaust. This tragic part of Jewish history is very
well documented as opposite to the Jewish Migration. I found few authors who
published articles and books on Impacts of the Holocaust on Jewish Migration. My
goal in this research paper is to explore the topic of Jewish Migration by connecting it
to the Holocaust. To achieve this goal, I have organized my paper in the
chronological order. I have tried to analyse reasons and barriers of the Migration of
Jewish during the ten year period. It starts with Hitler coming to power and ends with
establishment of the State of Israel. In my conclusion I tried to understand how
modern world responds to Holocaust. The Holocaust is one of the most tragic
pages in the history of mankind and one of the greatest tragedies of the Jewish
people many children of survivors, who experienced their parents silence and
avoidance of discussing the past and their family s fate, felt this as a personal
threat (Dalia Ofer10). Holocaust was a cold blooded and pre deliberate decision to
destroy a nation. It was estimated that during the Holocaust about 60% of the total
Jewish population of Europe was destroyed according to official memorial to the
victims of the Holocaust. It is not possible to establish the exact number of victims
among the Jewish people due to the lack of reliable data on the extent of the
genocide ( Refugees. ). Jewswere

Space Debris
There are kinds of materials, always floating around in the space. When astronauts
are doing the space traveling, it is the worst thing to come across with these
materials. Some people may be not familiar with these materials; however, the one I
was talking about is called space debris in the term of space science.
Space debris is made up with both natural particles and artificial particles, which are
called as meteoroids and man made products. Natural particles are always in the track
around the sun; however, most of the artificial particles are in the orbit about the earth
. So we may call these as orbital debris, which are always in the orbit of stars. (Space

T.S. Eliot Paints a Grim Picture in The Love Song of J....
T.S. Eliot s The Love Song of J. Alfred Prufock may be accurately described as an
amalgam of synergistic emotions among them self doubt, longing, fear, regret, and
indecisiveness which, through the alchemy of poetry, work in tandem to create and
communicate an overwhelming sense of anxiety. These emotions serve as cataracts
upon the lens through which the poem s narrator views both himself and the city
streets he travels. Overwhelmed by an overwhelming question (10) the narrator
perhaps more terrified by the sheer gravity of the overwhelming question (10) than
the numerous other fears and self doubts the narrator presents to the reader never

Line 92 echoes Andrew Marvell s To His Coy Mistress, a poem in which the persona
sets out to convince his lover to act without hesitance or delay; in a more perfect
world, the persona of The Lovesong of J. Alfred Prufock would squeeze the
universe into a ball (92) and roll it toward the overwhelming question (93). In lines
94 95, the persona imagines himself as Lazarus, come from the dead, / Come back
to tell you all, I shall tell you all. Here the persona, who has seen his moment of
greatness flicker in line 84, envisions himself rising from the ashes of his agedness
and decay to pose the overwhelming question to his lover without reticence. The
Lovesong of J. Alfred Prufock presents the image of a man who fears the toll that
time has taken and continues to take on his aesthetic appeal. Preoccupied with the
way others perceive him, the persona of the poem regards himself as an aging,
decaying figure. This anxiety is particularly evidenced in the seventh stanza of the
poem in which the persona declares that he will be judged both for his receding

This research project will focus on classroom reward systems and their effect on on
task behaviour in a grade 3 classroom. This research is important because there is
much debate in the education world as to the effectiveness of extrinsic motivators as
all students respond differently to different behaviour management techniques. This

Edwards Deming., n.d.). In 1948, he returned to Japan to conduct studies on the
occupation forces. During Deming s trips to Japan he began to develop an
admiration of the Japanese people. At the time Japan had some of the lowest quality
industrial goods in the world. While in Japan, Deming convinced one of the founding
members of the Union of Japanese Scientists and Engineers (JUSE), of the potential
of statistical methods in the rebuilding of Japanese industry (W. Edwards Deming.,
n.d.). In turn, Deming was invited to teach courses in statistical methods to Japanese
industry members. Deming arrived in Japan to teach again in June 1950 and he
returned five times to act as a teacher and consultant to the Japanese (W. Edwards
Deming., n.d.). It seems strange that Deming went to Japan to help manufacturers
rather than helping the United States, where he was from. A reason for this
occurrence is that the Japanese were hungry for innovative ideas. Deming was able
to successfully influence a group of managers who had risen to the top in Japanese
business after the war (W. Edwards Deming., n.d.). They wanted help to correct
serious and persistent quality problems that they had been having for years (W.
Edwards Deming., n.d.). Japan wanted to improve and stop being known globally for
having low quality industrial goods. In the United States at this point in

An Essay On Sea Otters
An endangered species is a species that is most likely to become extinct in the
future. Just like being listed under the Endangered Species Act, or any act or treaty,
is beneficial because you are protected by the government by law, it also has some
downfall to it. Being a species listed under these acts is going to make you the main
target for hunting. There are many endangered speciesall around the world but if we
have to pick an important one, it would be the Sea Otter. The Sea Otter is, what we
call, a keystone speciesbecause it helps maintain balance in their ecosystem. Sea
Otters can be on land but they mostly spend their time in the ocean, where they live
off of sea urchins. Sea urchins reproduce quickly and they feed off of the kelp forest,

In 1911, the United States and other countries signed the Treaty of the Preservation
andProtection of Fur Seals. About a thousand to two thousand Sea Otters remain and
are being protected by the Endangered Species Act. Not only is biodiversity being lost
in its ecosystem because of the fur trade, it is also getting lost because of oil
spillage. Oil spillage is also a huge contribution on why Sea Otters, or any marine
animal, are endangered species. The Exxon Valdez oil spill in 1989 killed hundreds
and thousands of Sea Otters and oil is still lingering in the area to this day, which is
causing pollution. When there s a oil or gas spillage, it gets into the Sea Otter s fur,
which makes it very hard for them to groom themselves. They rely on their fur so
much that when it soaks up all theoil, their fur can t breath thus causing them to have
hypothermia. Breathing in the fumes of theoil can cause them to have kidney and
lung damage. Pollution on land can contaminate the ocean, causing their habitat to
get destroyed and polluted as well. According to Defenders of Wildlife, Sea Otters are
often contaminated with toxic pollutants disease
Examples Of Figurative Language In The House Of
Scorpion
The famous philosopher Plato once said, You can discover more about a person
with an hour of play than in a year of conversation. But dialogue and figurative
language can help the reader understand people, and their surroundings. An hour of
play can t share their deepest secrets and their emotions to bring your fate s
together. In The House of the Scorpion by Nancy Farmer, the dialogue of her
characters and the descriptive language she uses helps show the mood and helps
inference more about the book. Nancy Farmer creates fascinating dialogue to
introduce the mood and the characters. In the book the author uses a lot of
dialogue to move the story along and introduce feelings to the reader. An example
when Matt, the main character, and Matt s friend, see a man lying on the ground
and say to each other, Can t we can t we help him? faltered Matt. It s too late for
that poor soul, grunted the bodyguard. What about the doctor? This quote indicates
how kind of a heart Matt has. It introduces guilt for the reader of the man lying
there and a little pleasure of knowing that the main character isn t soulless. It helps
add feelings and depth of the understanding of the reader when reading this
dialogue. Another example is when Celia, Matt s guardian is leaving for work,
says, What s this? the woman said. You re a big boy now, almost six. You know I
have to work. ... Take me with you, begged Matt, grabbing her shirt and wadding it
up with his hands. Stop that. When the reader is reading the quote they feel
sympathy for Matt and a bit upset with Celia for being so strict for not taking him
and being so harsh. Finally, when Matt is being hunted down, his friend MarГa is
helping him, they say, What am I supposed to do? Matt said. He felt drained of
willpower. Stay here. I ll go throw the hysterical fit everyone s expecting. When it
gets dark, I ll come back for you. This quote helps bring more pleased emotions to the
reader about MarГa and feel bad for Matt because he s in such a situation and MarГa
right now the only who can think straight. These quotes show the mood of the story
at different parts and help build affection to some characters. While dialogue helps the
reader build emotions for the
The Maze Runner Analysis
The movie the Maze Runner is a movie based on the book Maze Runner by James
Dashner (book by this author is the maze runner series, the mortality doctrine
series, the thirteenth reality series). The movie starts off with A young boy who
wakes up panicking, in a small metal box the young boy appears,he did not
remember how he got there or even who he is. His name is Thomas , but he does
not know his name in the beginning (though in the book his name is the only thing
that he remembers about himself) he ends up remembering it when he gets into a
fight with Gally another character from the movie/book. After had time to adjust
to his new life in the glade. Thomas was the newest arrival to The Glade, a grassy
remote place populated exclusively by teenage boys, all ripped suddenly from
lives they can t remember. Surrounding their new home is an enormous, shifting
maze; each morning, runners go out in the maze, mapping its architecture and
searching for a way out. Those who don t come back before sundown, when the
entrance to the maze closes, are never seen or heard from again but later on we see
that for the first time Thomas and Minho come back alive somehow . Later on a
girl who was in the same condition as Thomas comes in with a test tube and a note
saying that the caretakers will not supply them anymore. The boys are very confused
because it s the first time they see a girl go into the glades. The character Gally
blames everything bad that s happening to them on Thomas.
The Most Important Aspects Of Family Values
Everyone has values that they consider to be the most important aspects of their life.
For me, these values are family and friendship. In many occasions, it is those who
have less, but have strong familial and friendship bonds that seem to be the happiest.
Through family bonds and friendship, we are able to have happy, fulfilling lives that
money and success can not quite achieve. In the CASL building, during the
photowalk, I observed my surroundings to find the photos that I took. In the photos I
took, a Macbethposter and a quinceaГ±era, we can see why I feel that these bonds
are of utmost importance. The Macbeth poster shows that power comes with a price
and cannot bring true happinessthrough the facial expression and the skull being in
the shape of a crown. While the quinceaГ±era photo shows that having familyand
friends surrounding you can bring you happiness. However, the music videos that
were viewed in class display different values from my own. In these, the core values
displayed are black empowerment and bringing awareness to discrimination that the
African American community face as a whole. Although these are vastly important,
they do not connect fully with my values.
In the first photo taken, we are able to see why family and friendship are the most
significant values. The photo is of a quinceaГ±era that is taking place at the Holy
Redeemer Roman Catholic Church. In the photo, we see the girl being blessed by
the priest while all of her family and friends watch
Angelina Grimke Catharine Beecher
Angelina Grimke s public appeal for the institution of the human rights of all moral
beings is ultimately superior to Catharine Beecher s doctrine of female supremacy
limited to the domestic sphere. Both women are visionaries of their era offering
contrasting views of women s proper place in society as well as their moral duties.
History has proven that Grimke is unwaveringly the contest winner of this debate .
Compelling reasons for Grimke s historical success can be seen in the women s
differing contextual arguments, the effective use of rhetorical mediums, and the
personal embodiment of beliefs.

Angelina also used her voice to spread her message by making an emotional
connection with her audiences. Her followers could relate to her sincerity as well
as observe the unusual religious inspiration in her speaking . This tool of public
speech also aided her cause in the form of visible opposition to her lectures. By
combining the mediums of literacy and speech, Angelina Grimke could not be
ignored. These two means of rhetorical persuasion proved to be a powerful
language in her commitment to social reform. Another factor of Angelina s
progress is the radical nature of her arguments and the generation of loud
opposition. Success raises up opponents . Angelina Grimke represented the most
radical and controversial themes of her time. Not only was she a female Southern
abolitionist and a champion of women s suffrage, she publically proclaimed her
contentious ideas to the masses. The very idea of speaking to mixed audiences
was a social taboo . Women did not speak publically, certainly on political issues;
these matters were seen to be too far above them. Angelina s public response to
Beecher and various other conservative opponents provoked dismay as she extended
the scope of [her] commentary beyond a simple defense ...and proved it to be a
powerful offensive on
Witches And The Witch Hunt
In modern times, whenever someone refers to an individual who has a specific target
in mind, and that individual will not listen to explanation or alter their course for any
reason, it is said that they are on a witch hunt . This saying was derived from the
witch hunts throughout Europe and North America ranging from the Middle Agesinto
the 1800s, when witches were actively targeted, searched, and hunted for by the
Christian church, ultimately resulting in the deaths of numerous people, many of
whom were innocent of the charges that they were accused of. Based on Witchcraft
Documents [15th Century]) , it was impossible for an individual to receive a fair
trial whenever accused of witchcraft, for a variety of reasons. A few of these reasons
include the fact that the hunting of witches was completely supported by the Pope,
Christians generally believed that their tactics were well founded, and the barbaric
tactics used by the Inquisitors. The first reason that a fair trial was impossible was
because the discovery, investigation, exposure, and prosecution of witches was
directly endorsed by the Pope in the 15th century. On December 5th, 1484, Pope
Innocent VIII released the Papel Bull, which specifically discussed witchcraft, and
the individuals that participated in witchcraft. In this writing, the Pope described
these individuals as people that give themselves over to devils , and in a summed up
version, seek to destroy mankind with their actions and mysticism . He then
Demographic Growth In Texas Case Study
Thirdly, Texas continues to be a fast growing state in the nation, adding some
150,000 new residents a year for the past half decade or so. Texas is the second
most populous state in the US. In recent decades, it has experienced strong
population growth. Texas has many major cities and metropolitan areas, along with
many towns and rural areas. Much of the population is in the major cities of
Houston, Dallas, San Antonio, El Paso, Austin, and Fort Worth. As of 2012, the state
has an estimated 4.1 million foreign born residents; constituting approximately 15%
of the state population. An estimated 1.7 million people are illegal immigrants.

Charles Dickens The Signalman and A Birthday by Karen Mansfield
A signalman is a short story written by Charles Dickens. This is a story about a
signalman who is driven mad by the environment of his work, away from sunlight
and people. But he was not alone; a supernatural ghost decides to accompany him
too. He has a lot of responsibilities to shoulder.
There are only two characters that really are prominent in the short story. In fact in the
story, there are only about three to five characters. The important characters are the
signalman and the narrator. Charles Dickens uses dialogue to make the characters
more appealing and easier to understand. He has written exactly what was need to

Later on in the story he also stops talking to the narrator, as his job comes first and
his problems later, In charge of his duties
I observed him to be remarkably exact and vigilant, breaking off his discourse at a
syllable, and remaining silent until what he had to do was done. The signalman
seemed to love his work even if he did not love his work he was always very devoted
to his work.
I believe that one s work environment or even home environment defines a person and
that is what builds one s character. The signalman had nothing in his life except his
job; he had nothing to return to his home for, no wife or children. His work
environment was unpleasant and seems unhealthy and the narrator saw this as
stepping into the
unknown, ...As if I left the natural world/... entrance to a black tunnel, in whose the
massive architecture there was a barbarous depressing, and forbidding air... it had
an earthly deadly smell/ His post was in as solitary and dismal place as ever I saw.
A limitation was placed on the signalman through his work. He could not go out and
enjoy the sun and light for a few minutes and the signalman did not even try to go
and enjoy, he was too devoted to his work. The signalman had to live

came together to form independence club, which its main focus of the group was to

Macklemore s Song Same Love
Macklemore s song Same Love was nominated for Song of the Year at the 56th
Grammy Awards and is no doubt one of the most popular and influential songs of
2012. Their song is meant as a protest of the gay and lesbian rights as well as his
way of expressing his feelings towards the hip hop culture and their views on
homosexuality. During Macklemore s life, he grew up with a gay uncle, however it
was not just the problem with equality that powered the song. The obvious and
outrageous use of the term gay in the hip hop world was utilized as a disparaging
term also fueled the creation of Same Love. So many people have used and are still
using words like that s gay and you re gay in casual everyday conversation and
Macklemore feels like something needs to change. This wanted change is seen in
his song where he hopes people will slowly remove these words from everyday
convos and make people reconsider their usage of such derogative words and make
them more aware.1... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The song Same Love starts with a flashback from his childhood in the third grade
where he was afraid of being gay since he grew up with an uncle who was gay.
Since then he tries to discuss the ongoing issue of same sex marriage in his lyrics
despite the struggle. Even though he is not gay, he is a strong believer in how there
is no such thing as freedom until we are all equal and we can see that in his song.
He simply cares because it is our time to create the change that is right.
Mary Shelley’s Frankenstein and Bram Stoker’s
Dracula Essay
Mary Shelley s Frankenstein and Bram Stoker s Dracula
Evil features in both Dracula and Frankenstein but the personification of this evil is
different in both novels. A feeling of menace and doom pervades Dracula because of
his supernatural powers. One feels that he has control of the evil and he has the
power to manipulate the environment and people for his own ends. Frankenstein
centres on the creation of a monster made from parts of dead bodies and the fear
created by the monster due to circumstance and the ignorance of society. Also, one
feels a certain amount of apprehension that the monster is deserted by his creator and
loses control without his support and guidance.

Many scenes in Frankenstein are pastoral, thus creating a non threatening atmosphere,
however, it is circumstances and ignorance which result in the creature becoming
despised and hunted which in return change his nature and character when he seeks
revenge for the injustices done against him. Dracula, from the beginning, is the
embodiment of evil he plots and schemes. One could make excuses for him and say
he needs blood or he becomes extinct and it is a form of self preservation. This is
so, however, throughout the novel we are faced time and again with examples of
gratuitous malevolence he makes no distinction between man or woman, child or
baby. Many scenes in Dracula are set in the dark and ominous Castle Dracula, this
results in a pervading atmosphere of apprehension.
In Frankenstein there were reasons behind the monster s actions but this is not the
case in Dracula , apart from him needing blood to exist. Dracula callously uses
people and situations for his own ends, Monster, give me my child! here a woman
from the village has had her baby snatched by Dracula, she knows Dracula has
taken him and is pleading for the life of her child. The child is, of course, dead and
this shows how little regard Dracula has for the innocence of any creature, then he
uses his power over the wolves to command them to come to the woman and devour
her. Towards the end of the novel, Dracula uses his power over Mina
Definition Essay Success
What is success? The definition of success I believe is very personal and will be
different for everyone. Success to some people is when they start earning a lot of
money, but to me success is when I ve accomplished the goals to be able to do my
dream job. Something that I can look forward to everyday and easily wake up in
the morning feeling happy and positive, instead of trying to drag myself out of bed
complaining about the day ahead of me. Successis also the feeling of finally being
able to give back to my parents, and have them live comfortably. In other words
success to me is living a life I can feel proud of.
When I think about my future, I see myself as an established actress and model 10

God And Man Have A Bond Together
Which came first, man s need for a relationship with God or God s desire for a
relationship with man? This answer to this question is interpreted differently based
on every individual s understanding and specific relationship with God. The truth is
that both God and man have a bond together. The only difference is that Godalways
wants a bond with man and will always work for one while man often does not
realize that he needs a relationship with God, and at times does not put in the effort
that is required to sustain a long term relationship. God s character is often
misinterpreted through scripture, and many people do not fully understand what they
are receiving when they form a relationship with the Lord. Many also do not
understand that God wants a relationship with every one of his creations because of
his unwavering love for them. Psalm 139 emphesizes God s sovereign love and
desire to form a relationship with all of his creations through his characteristics of
omnipresence, omnipotemce, and omniscience. God s omnipresent character in Psalm
139 correlates with his desire to love and be loved by his creation. Omnipresence
derives from the theological term meanig always present. God wants to be present
through triumphs and struggles to show his eternal love for his beings. David uses
the second stanza to highlight God s never ending presence. David begins verse 7
questioning how he could avoid God saying Where can I go from your spirit? Where

Substitution Reactions ( Sn2 And Sn )
Using various alcohols, the substitution reactions (Sn2 and Sn) were utilized by
helping with which functional groups reacted, in which way. Developing a
mechanism for the alcohols are discussed.
This journal inspects the substitution reactions occurring in the alcohol containing
compounds. When a substitution reaction transpires, it substitutes one sigma (Пѓ)
bond with another sigma (Пѓ) bond. In substitution reactions, there are two types that
are focused when working with organic molecules, Sn1 and Sn2.
A Sn1 reaction is a nucleophilic substitution reaction, which has one molecule that is
in the rate determining step of the reaction. This simply means there is one
substitution that occurs before the final product is created. A Sn2 reaction is, also, a
nucleophilic substitution reaction. The Sn2 reaction has two molecules that are in
the rate determining step; therefore, two substitutions occur before the final product
is created (reactions occur simultaneously).
The three different types of alcohols that were utilized during this experiment are
common in Sn1 and Sn2 reactions. The reaction that occurs between the alcohol and
the solvents are both Sn1 and Sn2 reactions.
While working with reaction 1 there are several different chemical properties to be
aware of, 3 Phenyl 1 propanol has a melting point of 18В°C. It also has a boiling
point of 119В°C. The density of the alcohol us 1.001 g/mL. In reaction 2, the boiling
point of 2 pentanol is 119В°C. The melting point of

Important Characteristics Of An Individual s Behavior
Business is a broad field, and there are many important characteristics that play a
significant role in ensuring that business decisions are done correctly. Laws and
regulations are made and enforced to make sure that corrects decisions are done.
One of the main purposes of laws is to make sure that ethical principles are not
broken. However, each situation is different and some times laws and ethics
intertwined, and laws could cause people to act in unethical ways. Ethics could be
defined as moral principles that guide an individual s behavior. Ethics could be
influenced by the person who is seeing it and by the culture in where the situation
is taking place (McKay, Nitsch Peters). A major guideline that could be used to
evaluate if a situation is ethical is to determine if a situation is right or wrong. Is
very important that businesses or global banks follow ethical guidelines. This
would allow society to trust in their decision making. The word society covers a big
group of people, which include investors, clients, and other financial industries
(McKay, Nitsch Peters). Having ethical guidelines would help a business or a bank
to growth in a healthy way for a long term.
Moreover, a recent ethical scandal that took place in London but had a huge
influence in the United States was the JP Morgan London Whale Scandal. This
incident took place in 2002, and it brought huge losses to the biggest bank in the
United States. This is what happened in 2002, JP Morgan traders

Who Was Aaron Copland An American Composer
My composer that was given to me was Aaron Copland. Aaron Copland is an
American composer, writer, and later in his career a conductor of his own and
other American music. He was instrumental in forging a distinctly American style
of composition, and is often referred to as The Dean of American Composers . He
was born in Brooklyn, New York on November 14, 1900. He was the youngest of
five children whom are Ralph, Leon, Laurine, and Joesephine. Him and his siblings
spent their childhood living above his parents department store. He developed an
interest in the piano, receiving guidance from his older sister; Laurine. She also
introduced him to Ragtime and Opera. His parents were Sarah Mittenthal Copland
and Harris Morris Copland whom were
Towers Watson Performance Management Analysis Essay
New research from Towers Watson s Performance Management Pulse Survey 2015
has confirmed that the concerns raised in these articles are shared widely in many
companies around the Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) region. Almost 65%
of organisations described their performance management processes as ineffective,
while only three out of 10 managers and employees reported being satisfied with
these same processes.
Towers Watson Media

But while there is broad agreement about the ineffectiveness of many current
programmes, the reasons behind the dissatisfaction are surprisingly different from the
picture painted by the headlines. Rather than confirming that companies are spending
too much time on developing employee performance, the survey found that 83% of
companies invest fewer than six hours per year on each employee. Against a
background where employees are often demanding more frequent feedback and
touchpoints, there is a clear disconnect emerging.
Global employee engagement data confirm how important spending time to set clear
goals and objectives and discussing careers is to employees. Indeed, these frequently
appear as two of the top three drivers of sustainable engagement and retention.
In this most recent survey, for example, employees said they want to spend more time
setting relevant goals (58%) and participating in performance feedback and career
discussions (72%). These results further underscore
Olaudah Equiano or Gustavus Vassa Essay
Olaudah Equiano or Gustavus Vassa
It was in 1758 when Olaudah Equiano was kidnapped from his home in
Southeastern Nigeria and sold into slavery. Equiano was just eleven years old at
the time and was forced to leave his Ibo religion, his family, and all else familiar.
His account of being introduced to the Europeans which forced him into slavery is
especially powerful, for Equiano had never laid sight on a white man before.
...I was carried on board. I was immediately handled and tossed up to see if I was
sound, by some of the crew; and I was now persuaded that I had got into a world of
bad spirits, and that they were going to kill me. Their complexions too, differing so
much from ours, their long hair, and the language they spoke, ... Show more content

Equiano merged into manhood gradually, yet there are certainly experiences which
aided him along. His narrative revolves around his youthful self journeying through
foreign lands and over strange waters. His story is unique, for although he suffered
from the oppression of slavery, he traveled all over the world, thereby gaining
knowledge and education. Due to the fact that he was thrust into an entirely new
environment at such a young age, his juvenile ignorance and naivety is extremely
apparent, yet it is these learning experiences that caused him to mature faster than he
would have otherwise.
Certain events are elaborated upon which further developed Equiano s character.
Among them are the encounters that the author had aboard Captain Pascal s ship.
As mentioned before, Equiano s life differed greatly from the typical slaves. Due
to the fact that he spent most of his time traveling across the Atlantic, he and every
other man, regardless of race, was under direct and clear orders. All had a function
to fulfill aboard ship, and if a free man or a slave failed in his assigned task, they
would be penalized. Furthermore, due to the fact that ships usually consisted of all
male groups, the sailors all shared the rough life of having to prove their masculinity
and deal with everyday competition of strength and courage. Equiano was quick to
learn this and before long he was called upon deck and paired with
Women In The Enlightenment
Throughout the Age of the Enlightenment women found ways to combine the new
intellectual movements evolving in the public sphere with their appointed place in
the domestic private sphere. For example, women during this period frequently
participated in the salon culture. A salon was a social and intellectual gathering of
people who would meet at the house of a well known or intellectually inspirational
person to discuss the latest cultural trends, ranging from literature, politics, art and
philosophy. Salons were meant to be social gatherings for pleasure and entertainment
as well as sources of intellectual stimulation. Traditionally, the wealthier segments of
society, participated in salons, which typically took place in urban settings. The...

As modern times drew closer the classical roles of females would have become
obsolete and inefficient in such a rapidly growing industrial society. Looking at that
the Eighteenth Nineteenth Centuries purely from an economical view; without the
help of women as visible members of society the Industrial Revolution would not
have had such a dramatic and sweeping effect on society. For thousands of years the
achievements of women, if not actively erased from human history, have been
largely ignored. History was written almost exclusively by men about men men s
wars, men s accomplishments, and men s discoveries (Ashby and Gore p.15).
Becoming visible was a long and tedious process; women were constantly being
knocked down as their male counterparts got all
Benefits Of Talent Management Programs
Introduction Talent management programs are usually designed to improve business
performance and results. Business performance is highly influenced by external
factors. These factors include economic conditions, competitors activities and
government legislation. However, it s not just external factors that influence
performance. Internal factors like organizational structure, policies and business
strategies are also main performance influences (Hunt, 2014). Most companies have
realized that they can improve their performances by influencing their employee s
behavior. If employees are aligned with the business s goals and needs through talent
management, a company s performance will improve. This can be achieved by

employees by ensuring that their needs are met. Macy s which is one of the oldest
retail stores has made a lot of effort in coming up with technologies aiming at talent
management in order to achieve their target.
Macy s has recently entered into a partnership with Microsoft to empower their
leading employees by providing them with Microsoft office 365. The aim of
providing them with the device was to make the leaders mobile so that they can be
easily walk around. The device through office 365 provides access to information

Macy s management believes that the company s partnership with Microsoft will

great experience across all stores.
In order to increase employee communication, the company got rid of the old
practice of staff morning meetings to be briefed on any announcements. This was
after realizing that a new model was required because not all employees were able to

Its primary function is releasing bile into the digestive tract to aid in the digestion of food. Cholelithiasis is a condition that causes small stones, or choleliths, to form in the gallbladder. These stones are typically made of calcium carbonate mixed with other secreted substance and minerals. Though gallstones are rare in cats, the presence of large stones is a medical emergency as the stones can block the bile from being released and cause problems with the liver, digestive system and the kidneys. The Ethics Of The Vermont Teddy Bear Company Introduction The purpose of this article is to illuminate the need for any organization to have its IT strategy and business strategy properly aligned. While many organizations view IT and business alignment as an event it is actually an on going process, or continuous journey. • 8. How Did Akhenaten Changed Religion And Politics Within The... Akhenaten changed religion and politics within the Amarna period through his large scale religious and artistic reforms, decision to leave Thebes and make Amarna the capital and relations with third party powers in the ancient Near East. Early on in his reign Akhenaten began introducing new artistic styles, both in relation to religion and personal portrayals of the royal family. After moving the capital from Thebes to Amarna in search of new land on which to worship Aten (the God of sun/light) the artistic portrayal of the god changed to become one the most symbolic and abstract depictions of a God in Ancient Egypt (Weigall 1922, 120). The new depiction of Aten became a sun disc with long rays extending hands down to earth, and often to the royal family or the king himself. This can be thought of as symbolising the power given to the king by the Gods (Kempt 1989, 173). Akhenaten also introduced his own style of royal artwork, in which the royal family was represented in an exaggerated manner. The most notable of these exaggerations was the changes to facial features, such as the long skull and chin, and large oval eyes. This is thought to perhaps represent the separation of the royal family from everyday Egyptian people, however this contradicts with the meaning of another change to Amarna artwork, the personal, intimate portraits of the king s family life (Kempt 1989, 265). Akhenaten greatly influenced the way in which people worshiped by making changes to traditional

Earth s climate has always been changing, though the change that is being observed now is such a concern due to certain factors. The thing that is concerning about climate change is the rapid rate at which it is occurring. Changes in climate are happening at a very fast speed, changes in the past were dramatic but gradual at the same time, over a time span of thousands of years. Also, the possibility of climate change to continue at the same speed is very likely as many factors both natural and human activities affect it. Although the media often refer to Global Warming, a more appropriate term is Global Climate Change. Why does it matter, and what is the difference? A more appropriate term for the change we are witnessing in climate is Global Climate Change rather than Global Warming. The term Global warming means that the climate of the Earth is increasing in temperature, globally. Yes, the world is getting warmer although there are many factors that take a part in this change in climate. These factors such as precipitation, and evaporation are all part of this global change and in order to include all these changes a better term is needed rather than Global Warming. The term that can be used to modify the understanding of these changes is Global Climate Change. Global Climate Change

This tragic part of Jewish history is very well documented as opposite to the Jewish Migration. I found few authors who published articles and books on Impacts of the Holocaust on Jewish Migration. My goal in this research paper is to explore the topic of Jewish Migration by connecting it to the Holocaust. To achieve this goal, I have organized my paper in the chronological order. I have tried to analyse reasons and barriers of the Migration of Jewish during the ten year period. It starts with Hitler coming to power and ends with establishment of the State of Israel. In my conclusion I tried to understand how modern world responds to Holocaust. The Holocaust is one of the most tragic pages in the history of mankind and one of the greatest tragedies of the Jewish people many children of survivors, who experienced their parents silence and avoidance of discussing the past and their family s fate, felt this as a personal threat (Dalia Ofer10). Deming arrived in Japan to teach again in June 1950 and he returned five times to act as a teacher and consultant to the Japanese (W. Edwards Deming., n.d.). It seems strange that Deming went to Japan to help manufacturers rather than helping the United States, where he was from. A reason for this occurrence is that the Japanese were hungry for innovative ideas. Deming was able to successfully influence a group of managers who had risen to the top in Japanese business after the war (W. Edwards Deming., n.d.). But dialogue and figurative language can help the reader understand people, and their surroundings. An hour of play can t share their deepest secrets and their emotions to bring your fate s together. In The House of the Scorpion by Nancy Farmer, the dialogue of her characters and the descriptive language she uses helps show the mood and helps inference more about the book. Nancy Farmer creates fascinating dialogue to introduce the mood and the characters. In the book the author uses a lot of dialogue to move the story along and introduce feelings to the reader. An example when Matt, the main character, and Matt s friend, see a man lying on the ground and say to each other, Can t we can t we help him? faltered Matt. It s too late for that poor soul, grunted the bodyguard. What about the doctor? This quote indicates how kind of a heart Matt has. It introduces guilt for the reader of the man lying there and a little pleasure of knowing that the main character isn t soulless. It helps add feelings and depth of the understanding of the reader when reading this dialogue. Another example is when Celia, Matt s guardian is leaving for work, says, What s this? the woman said. You re a big boy now, almost six. You know I have to work. ... Take me with you, begged Matt, grabbing her shirt and wadding it up with his hands. Stop that. When the reader is reading the quote they feel sympathy for Matt and a bit upset with Celia for being so strict for not taking him and being so harsh. I ll go throw the hysterical fit everyone s expecting. When it gets dark, I ll come back for you. In many occasions, it is those who have less, but have strong familial and friendship bonds that seem to be the happiest. Through family bonds and friendship, we are able to have happy, fulfilling lives that money and success can not quite achieve. In the CASL building, during the photowalk, I observed my surroundings to find the photos that I took. In the photos I took, a Macbethposter and a quinceaГ±era, we can see why I feel that these bonds are of utmost importance. • 23. Witches And The Witch Hunt In modern times, whenever someone refers to an individual who has a specific target in mind, and that individual will not listen to explanation or alter their course for any reason, it is said that they are on a witch hunt . This saying was derived from the witch hunts throughout Europe and North America ranging from the Middle Agesinto the 1800s, when witches were actively targeted, searched, and hunted for by the Christian church, ultimately resulting in the deaths of numerous people, many of whom were innocent of the charges that they were accused of. Based on Witchcraft Documents [15th Century]) , it was impossible for an individual to receive a fair trial whenever accused of witchcraft, for a variety of reasons. A few of these reasons include the fact that the hunting of witches was completely supported by the Pope, Christians generally believed that their tactics were well founded, and the barbaric tactics used by the Inquisitors. The first reason that a fair trial was impossible was because the discovery, investigation, exposure, and prosecution of witches was directly endorsed by the Pope in the 15th century. On December 5th, 1484, Pope Innocent VIII released the Papel Bull, which specifically discussed witchcraft, and the individuals that participated in witchcraft. In this writing, the Pope described these individuals as people that give themselves over to devils , and in a summed up version, seek to destroy mankind with their actions and mysticism . He then

  • 30. Macklemore s Song Same Love Macklemore s song Same Love was nominated for Song of the Year at the 56th Grammy Awards and is no doubt one of the most popular and influential songs of 2012. Their song is meant as a protest of the gay and lesbian rights as well as his way of expressing his feelings towards the hip hop culture and their views on homosexuality. During Macklemore s life, he grew up with a gay uncle, however it was not just the problem with equality that powered the song. The obvious and outrageous use of the term gay in the hip hop world was utilized as a disparaging term also fueled the creation of Same Love. So many people have used and are still using words like that s gay and you re gay in casual everyday conversation and Macklemore feels like something needs to change. This wanted change is seen in his song where he hopes people will slowly remove these words from everyday convos and make people reconsider their usage of such derogative words and make them more aware.1... Mary Shelley’s Frankenstein and Bram Stoker’s Dracula Essay Mary Shelley s Frankenstein and Bram Stoker s Dracula Evil features in both Dracula and Frankenstein but the personification of this evil is different in both novels. A feeling of menace and doom pervades Dracula because of his supernatural powers. One feels that he has control of the evil and he has the power to manipulate the environment and people for his own ends. Frankenstein centres on the creation of a monster made from parts of dead bodies and the fear created by the monster due to circumstance and the ignorance of society. Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Many scenes in Frankenstein are pastoral, thus creating a non threatening atmosphere, however, it is circumstances and ignorance which result in the creature becoming despised and hunted which in return change his nature and character when he seeks revenge for the injustices done against him. Dracula, from the beginning, is the embodiment of evil he plots and schemes. One could make excuses for him and say he needs blood or he becomes extinct and it is a form of self preservation. This is so, however, throughout the novel we are faced time and again with examples of gratuitous malevolence he makes no distinction between man or woman, child or baby. Many scenes in Dracula are set in the dark and ominous Castle Dracula, this results in a pervading atmosphere of apprehension. In Frankenstein there were reasons behind the monster s actions but this is not the case in Dracula , apart from him needing blood to exist. Dracula callously uses people and situations for his own ends, Monster, give me my child! here a woman from the village has had her baby snatched by Dracula, she knows Dracula has taken him and is pleading for the life of her child. Success to some people is when they start earning a lot of money, but to me success is when I ve accomplished the goals to be able to do my dream job. • 34. God And Man Have A Bond Together Which came first, man s need for a relationship with God or God s desire for a relationship with man? This answer to this question is interpreted differently based on every individual s understanding and specific relationship with God. The truth is that both God and man have a bond together. The only difference is that Godalways wants a bond with man and will always work for one while man often does not realize that he needs a relationship with God, and at times does not put in the effort that is required to sustain a long term relationship. God s character is often misinterpreted through scripture, and many people do not fully understand what they are receiving when they form a relationship with the Lord. Many also do not understand that God wants a relationship with every one of his creations because of his unwavering love for them. Psalm 139 emphesizes God s sovereign love and desire to form a relationship with all of his creations through his characteristics of omnipresence, omnipotemce, and omniscience. God s omnipresent character in Psalm 139 correlates with his desire to love and be loved by his creation. Omnipresence derives from the theological term meanig always present. God wants to be present through triumphs and struggles to show his eternal love for his beings. David uses the second stanza to highlight God s never ending presence. David begins verse 7 questioning how he could avoid God saying Where can I go from your spirit? Where can I flee from your

Developing a mechanism for the alcohols are discussed. This journal inspects the substitution reactions occurring in the alcohol containing compounds. When a substitution reaction transpires, it substitutes one sigma (Пѓ) bond with another sigma (Пѓ) bond. In substitution reactions, there are two types that are focused when working with organic molecules, Sn1 and Sn2. A Sn1 reaction is a nucleophilic substitution reaction, which has one molecule that is in the rate determining step of the reaction. This simply means there is one substitution that occurs before the final product is created. A Sn2 reaction is, also, a nucleophilic substitution reaction. The Sn2 reaction has two molecules that are in the rate determining step; therefore, two substitutions occur before the final product is created (reactions occur simultaneously). The three different types of alcohols that were utilized during this experiment are common in Sn1 and Sn2 reactions. The reaction that occurs between the alcohol and the solvents are both Sn1 and Sn2 reactions. While working with reaction 1 there are several different chemical properties to be aware of, 3 Phenyl 1 propanol has a melting point of 18В°C. It also has a boiling point of 119В°C. Laws and regulations are made and enforced to make sure that corrects decisions are done. One of the main purposes of laws is to make sure that ethical principles are not broken. However, each situation is different and some times laws and ethics intertwined, and laws could cause people to act in unethical ways. Ethics could be defined as moral principles that guide an individual s behavior. Ethics could be influenced by the person who is seeing it and by the culture in where the situation is taking place (McKay, Nitsch Peters). A major guideline that could be used to evaluate if a situation is ethical is to determine if a situation is right or wrong. Is very important that businesses or global banks follow ethical guidelines. This would allow society to trust in their decision making. The word society covers a big group of people, which include investors, clients, and other financial industries (McKay, Nitsch Peters). Against a background where employees are often demanding more frequent feedback and touchpoints, there is a clear disconnect emerging. Global employee engagement data confirm how important spending time to set clear goals and objectives and discussing careers is to employees.
