Snapchat allows the user to send photos and videos for a limited time and follow others, as well as post directly to their timeline. Instagram is used to share and edit photos and videos, then upload and like/share them, and also use direct messaging. Facebook shares photos and videos, communicates with friends and groups, and allows following others, similar to Instagram and Snapchat.
