Students from grades 1 to 4 participated in a week-long program called Design for Change to raise funds for elderly people in their community. The students held various fundraising activities such as making and selling handmade cards, lemonade, and coloring books, as well as washing vehicles. The money raised was used to provide basic necessities to elderly people. The students reflected that they enjoyed participating, learned about working hard to earn money, and developed leadership skills through the experience.

2. Care and support for elderly people is missing in society. Attempting to establish importance of these in primary school’s students.

3. Elder people are helped by fund generated by followings Hand made cards & covers selling.

4. Lemonade making & selling.

5. Selling of coloring books.

6. Fund by vehicles cleaning.

7. Entertainment show for elder people by prayer, bhajan, drama, dance, ras.

8. Basic necessities of elderly people were satisfied by the funds collected by the students

9. Responses from the students: Agasatya: Enjoyed the the week the Joy of Giving. We liked the activities carried out during this week. Earning money is really a hard task is understood properly. Learned to apply the mathematics studied in classroom.

10. Niyati: The basic aim all these activities to donate something to elderly peoples’ home hence it give us immense pleasure. Few people have not paid for our tiring efforts which I dislike the most. I also learned to be more vigil and alert to deal with such people.

11. Krupal and Luckyraj: Clearly understood the meaning of ' parisharam vagar paisa nahi' Compared these with hard work by us. Enjoyed the collecting of material and learned the making of articles, selling of articles, account keeping etc. Developed the leadership qualities in us. Also got the idea how our parents are working hard to earn money.
