This document provides instructions for setting up and using a SmartBoard and connected classroom technology at St George College. 3. Smart Board2. Choose from the options in the Notebook DashboardUsually you open a New Notebook FileIf you want to work on a non-notebook existing file, e.g. your own power point, you can open it with Ink Aware, which you will find in tools

4. INK WAREInk Aware allows you to use Microsoft Word, Excel or PowerPoint with the SMART Board It is like a transparency layer that embeds whatever you write or draw on top of your file into it. Video ConferencingTurn on Video screen with Phillips remote controlWith TANDBERG remote control set up cameras (focus and hold the number selected for that position for a few seconds)For Multipoint conferences (more than 2 participants) Everyone has to dial 5124402For one-to –one dial through the DET Global directory (press the contacts icon on the TANGERBERG remote control)To record the conference dial 99 before the normal number

6. Video Conferencing & BridgitTo share the pc screen while at a videoconference we use Bridgit. You will find a link to Bridgit in Mylearning>Resources>Bridgit conferencing software.>Resources> DET Bridgit Server . It will ask you to download, which you can do without going through IT. (Click on run)Once downloaded , you can create a new meeting and password. It will then prompt you to invite people via email.
