In this lesson we examine a teaching of Jesus that was not recorded in the gospels but recorded by the inspired writer Luke. We also show how the parable of the talents and sheep are teaching a common thing. When we understand what we have been entrusted with then we will be better stewards.

• In all things I have shown
you that by working hard
in this way we must help
the weak and remember
the words of the Lord
Jesus, how He Himself
said, “It is more blessed
to give than to receive.”
4. The parable of the talents
✓Talents are money,
and irregardless of
how much you have
you have there is a
responsibility to do
good.
✓Think of the talents
as an opportunity!
5. The sheep and goats!
✴There will be a
judgment
✴The judgment will be
based on what we did
in this life. Not just, I
didn’t commit certain
sin!
✴We have a duty to do
good.
6. Why do we work?
Ephesians 4:26-28
• Let the thief no longer
steal, but rather let him
labor, doing honest work
with his own hands, so
that he may have
something to share with
anyone in need.
