Southall, London when she was two.
Gurinder worked in radio before making her
first documentary ‘I’m British But…’ in 1989.
Gurinder has since become famous for
successful films such as ‘Bend it Like Beckham’
and ‘Bride and Prejudice’ which focus on family
problems and the wider issues of cultures
coming together.
