2. Welcome to Peaceful Harmony
My name is Diana Street and I
am a fully qualified Wellbeing
and Bereavement Counsellor.
I love doing what I do because
nothing saddens me more than
to see anyone suffer.
If you are dealing with a crisis,
an illness or the sad loss of a
loved one, you do not have to
cope on your own. I am here to
help you balance and energise
your life.
3. My journey started here
Sacred Heart Convent
Sri Lanka - an island country
in the northern Indian
Ocean off the southern
coast of the Indian
subcontinent in South Asia.
This is where I went to school and from a
very early age, I found it easy to listen
attentively to anyone who was feeling sad,
lonely or in need of a friend.
4. Are you in need of support?
People come to see me for counselling for many different reasons.
Do any of these reasons relate to you?
• You feel lonely and unable to cope on your own
• Your whole lifestyle has changed through no fault of your own
• You are in turmoil and feel stressed and anxious all the time
• You feel angry, perhaps abandoned and afraid
• You blame someone for your loss of a dear friend or situation and
cannot move forward
• You just want someone to talk to who will listen and understand
• You do not want to burden your friends and family with your
sadness, despair and concerns
5. Is your loss different in some way?
Most people relate bereavement or grief to the loss of a loved one,
but it could be due to many different ways that can cause equal
suffering, stress and pain.
• Break up of a close friendship
• Being divorced and not seeing your children very often
• Losing any one of your senses - sight, smell or hearing
• Becoming ill and unable to do the things you could do before
• Having to look after a sick relative
• Being made redundant and not able to find another job
• Losing your business and going into liquidation
• Living in an area of crime, being intimidated and burgled
• Losing a partner, family member, close companion or dear friend
6. Do you feel you have lost more?
You could have lost a lot more than just a loved one when the help
and support you relied upon has suddenly ended.
• The person you chatted to who was your companion and friend
• The person who dealt with the paperwork and paid the bills
• The person who cooked and did the household chores
• The person who looked after your children or elderly relations
• The person who drove you to places because you could not drive
• The person who fixed things and maintained your home
• The person who tended your garden and kept things tidy
• Your soulmate who shared everything and knew you so well
7. Do you feel guilty?
Feelings of guilt, remorse or regret are often felt when you lose
someone dear to you.
• You did not do enough to prevent the loss
• You did not say what you would have liked to say
• You did not complete those vital documents
• You wish you had been reunited and resolved past issues
• You question your diet and perhaps lack of exercise
• You wonder whether it was worth working all those long hours
• You are not grieving in the way society would expect you to
• You feel anger, bitterness or regret that you cannot resolve on your
own
8. I am here to help you …
I understand that coming to terms with your loss is not an easy process.
Working together with my help and understanding,
I can provide you with:
• Someone who will listen attentively with empathy and understanding
• Someone who will respect your confidentiality
• Someone who will never judge or make you feel bad about yourself
• Someone who will help you let go of a dear person or a situation
• Someone who will help you complete any unfinished business
• Someone who will help you achieve the life you want
9. As long as it takes …
You may be surprised to know that my dearest wish is that after a
short time, you will not need to see me anymore because:
You have come to terms and can cope with the way you feel
You feel you are able to move on with your life
Your life is much more in balance and you feel energised
You have let go with love and peace!
My passion is to provide you with as much support as you need for as
long as it takes – and that might not be very long at all!
Let’s see if that could be you – just give me a call today on
