This document announces a one-day workshop on emerging trends in connecting people to information, organized by the SLA Asian Chapter in coordination with the MCCIA. Eminent speakers from industry and libraries will speak on their experiences. The workshop will cover the use of Web 2.0 tools like blogs, wikis and social media to generate and share content. Information professionals from academia, government and industry are encouraged to attend to learn new tools and technologies, best practices, and network with experts. The workshop will be held on February 8, 2008 in Pune, India.
