2. Summary
Given his lifetime assignment at the Ceremony
of
Twelve, Jonas becomes the receiver of memories
shared by only
one other in his community and discovers the
terrible truth about
the society in which he lives.

 Character 1- Jonas

 Character 3-victor

4. Slide 2 , character 1
 Perseverance isn’t always constructive and can be harmful in
some situations; this happens when it is overdone and when
people stick to plans that evidence show there is a very small
probability to succeed . Perseverance is being able to bear
difficulties calmly and without complaint .The
main adversity character 1 has to deal with is the burden of
knowing about everything, like war and death, but also good
things like animals and family. No one else understands these
things in his normal life, and it often upsets him, like when he
first finds out what "release" means, or when he sees his
friends playing violent games.

5. Slide 3 ,character 1
 The resolution for Jonas is that he finds a way
to escape from his community and captures
Gabriel . They try to survive and stay as far
away from the community as possible. Jonas
and Gabriel avoid getting caught.

6. Slide 4 ,character 2
 Zebra’s adversity is that for a while he is
famous for his skill of fast running.
 While things are going good a fatal accident
happens to zebra and he becomes paralyzed

7. Slide 5 character 2
 Although zebra becomes paralyzed he still
fulfills his daily life responsibilities
 Zebra has still acted normal even though he is
paralyzed and has met a new friend who wants
to become an art teacher at the school

8. Slide 6 character 3
 Victor has trouble fulfilling a goal of
becoming closer with a girl he likes named
Teresa.
 To try to get closer to her he signs up for the
same classes as her to try and talk to her.
 In a failed attempt to impress Teresa, or so he
thought he fakes knowing French to impress
her but embarrasses himself.

9. Slide 7 character 3
 In a surprising conclusion Teresa is impressed
by his “performance” in class even though the
whole class laughed at him.
 Now Victor is in a bigger mess because now
Teresa wants Victor to be her French tutor But
victor doesn’t know French.

10. Resolution
 In each story all the characters persevered
through their adversities.
 In each story I loved each character
individually for persevered
 My favorite character was zebra because even
paralyzed can work and act as normal which
makes them no different than everyone else.
