(NYSCALTAP) has created a literary touchstone for national & local literary
communities in Jackson Heights. Through education, creation & exhibition, this
partnership exemplifies a dynamic community & a large scale event with broad appeal.
PROJECT STAFF
The event staff consists of
* an Organizer/Coordinator responsible for website maintenance, design, fundraising,
vendor liaising, logistical operations, volunteer coordination, press & promotional
materials.
* a Website Consultant responsible for website hosting, information architecture, file
hosting and creative problem solving.
* a Program Director responsible for marketing & development, scheduling, artists &
local venues and administrative tasks. All other personnel will be volunteers.
PROJECT REVENUE
Revenue will be generated via vendor table fees, sponsorships from local companies &
organizations, and in-kind donations of goods and services. Our grant request will help
cover marketing costs and honoraria for presenters at the event, readings and workshops.

21. TARGET AUDIENCE
The audience for the BWBB represents a diverse cross-section of race, gender, sexual
orientation, class & age. The target population are 18-65 year olds with literary and
artistic interests.
MARKETING & PROMOTION
The BWBB uses its website for logistical operations, to provide event information,
vendor registration and email subscriptions for event reminders. The website is
maintained and updated daily. The BWBB utilizes print media, radio advertisements,
social networking sites, word of mouth and shares email lists of other Queens literary
organizations reaching over 5000 people weekly & over 20,000 people monthly.
PROJECT EVALUATION
The event assesses audience size, diversity & number of vendors.
* Year 1 - 65 vendors & 1200 visitors
* Year 2 - 90 vendors & 1200-1500 visitors
* Year 3 - 100 vendors & 2000 visitors
Our goal this year is to host over 175 artists & 5000-6000 visitors.
