The Minister of Health announced 6 new confirmed cases of COVID-19 in South Africa, bringing the total to 13. The new cases include 4 in Gauteng who had traveled to Italy, Germany, Austria and Italy; 1 in KwaZulu-Natal who had been to Portugal; and 1 in Western Cape who had been to Germany, Austria, Switzerland and Turkey. All patients have been advised, with symptomatic patients receiving treatment and asymptomatic patients in self-quarantine. Contact tracing has begun for all cases. Over 3,600 tests for the virus have been conducted so far in South Africa.
