The number of confirmed COVID-19 cases in South Africa has increased to 24, with 6 new cases reported. Of the new cases, 4 are from Gauteng, 2 from KwaZulu-Natal, and 2 from Western Cape. All of the newly confirmed patients had traveled internationally to countries including Switzerland, Austria, Greece, and Italy. Contact tracing of those exposed is underway. Additional positive test results are being verified and will be formally announced later.
