Definitions of Rest
1) Allowing Jesus to direct
your life. Don’t run ahead of
Him, or impulsively try to solve
your problems according to
what you think is best. Ask Him
to give you His answers, and
then wait on Him to give you His
solutions, and to lead you
with His priorities.
In Matthew 11:28 Jesus said, “Come to Me,
all you who labor and are heavy laden,
and I will give you rest.” (NKJV)
Here are some definitions of
what it means to go to Jesus
and receive that rest:
2) Learning to make prayer
and praise your first
response to any problem.
3) Learning how to let Jesus carry
your problems by taking the time
to tell Him about them and trusting
Him to take care of them.
4) Learning how to disconnect
from other activities to
spend time with Jesus.
6) Submitting your desires
to Jesus and trusting that
He will direct your path.
(Proverbs 3:5-6)
Jesus, I
know that You
are going to
lead me to the
situations that
will help fund my
trip to this youth
fellowship
